Laguiole By FlyingColors Flatware Set 4-Piece Cutlery Set with Corkscrew

Not like real French Laguiole. This is made in China and came with a greasy metal residue that stained the wood near the metal parts where it was filed down. The metal seems pretty cheap and the wood has no lacquer or oil or anything so it soaked up the weird oily residue and actually stained the color of the wood near the metal parts. The wine opener seems solid, but is unusable so far because the parts are so tight that I am afraid I'll slice my fingers of if I pry too hard, I had to use a tool to open. I'll probably send back. I bought this for a party and ended up not using any of it it at all. It says Laguiole by FlyingColors on the edge of the cutlery and that is just strange to me. The knife is ok, but I thought this was more of a serving appetizer set, but it is a dinner eating set, also strange to me to have a wine opener with a dinner set. Again, why I didn't use for my party. The knife could be used for a bit of cheese. I think this set would be more successful if there was a small cheese knife, a wine opener that worked, small relish spoons, and perhaps a small and larger meat fork. That is my honest feedback. I may have missed the return window, so that is my fault. The box of these utensils is still unused. The wood feels so dry and not very pretty. I did put some olive oil on the handles to try to make them look better and that helped a bit. Oh yeah, and I kind of wish the description would have said something like, Laguiole-style. True Laguiole is way more expensive and better quality and made in France. So, I guess I should have known. Oh well.

These are alot heavier than I was expecting. I have nerve damage and arthritis so I wont be using these. They look nice but silly me again did not read close enough and just assumed there were a "set" of 4 not just 4 period. I would have been really aggravated if I paid more than I did. So they are nice and well made but if its more than one person you have to get several boxes

Good cutlery. Really need to keep out of dishwasher. Should urethane handles
