Cheaper than fishing .. and more fun in my book!
Finally got round to trying magnet fishing ..so me and my lad went down to the local canal and had a go!The gloves aren't very big ... I have large hands so I bought done gardening gloves to take. It's easy to use .. simply tie it tight into the rope and launch it in!It took us a few goes before we got something .. we spent a few hours chilling and dragging .. but didn't get anything if value ... However it was great fun!I'd recommend making sure it's tight .. maybe even welding it on.Lots of fun and maybe one day find some treasure

Amazingly powerful!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Many years ago I bought a Seasearcher magnet which saved many keys and other items from being dropped overboard by small hands. Sadly over time the casing rusted and had to be thrown away. This magnet is a massive improvement over the previous one, being able to lift an enormous 350Kg while only being 67mm in diameter! It comes supplied with a really decent quality 20m rope with a strong stainless steel locking hook spliced onto one end. I really love the addition of a second eye so you can lower the magnet either vertically or horizontally. There is also a nice pair of non-slip waterproof gloves included. To test the magnet, I threw an old plasterboard fitting overboard and within a minute or two I managed to retrieve it (see attached video)I am very impressed with this magnet and for less than £40 it's both economical and practical.

Magnetism of the kids
Kids see this new trend on YouTube and asked for one to take on our summer holiday and I gave in. Well packaged to normal amazon standards , came with no instructions but my kids set up in 20 seconds held above cutlery draw and bang all stuck like glue to it took a fair twist to remove some of them. Only little gripe was the the gloves which were OK for my kids but not big enough for adult males they are good quality though I would say size 7 I take 9.5.kids can't wait until August and throwing into the harbour

Rubbish
Crap!! 350kg sounds like a lot but it really isn’t.. put a small nut on the magnet and pulled it off with total ease.. so if something in the water was even slightly held down by mud etc there’s no way it could pull it out.. used once and had three or four things I couldn’t pull out with multiple tries! Found some interesting things but left frustrated

Not sure
Considering it is rated at 350kg it doesn’t feel that strong. Will see how it sticks to things in the river!

Ideal starter pack
This is a great starter pack for anyone wanting to get into magnet fishing.Includes the magnet, strong rope and gloves.I recommend to use this as a single sided magnet as it has very strong pulling power.I used my magnet yesterday and very impressed with its power.
