Makita XSR01Z 18V X2 LXT Lithium-Ion 36V Brushless Cordless Rear Handle 7-1/4" Circular Saw, Tool Only (Renewed)

I have a lot of Makita 18v LXT battery tools including 7 inch circular saws.I was out of town without my tools and needed to do some carpentry work for my family. I did a quick search on Amazon to see if I could add to my collection and get something delivered quickly to meet my project deadline.I found the 36v (2x18v) worm gear style saw at less than 50% of the normal price (refurb). It was delivered quickly by the seller. I mounted two new 18v batteries that I purchased separately and pulled the trigger.This saw is something. As I said already, I have a lot of Makita 18v tools. This thing is no toy. It cuts with the power of a 110v powered version but is whisper quiet. It cut through the 2x and 1x stock like butter. The rear handle and front guide handle made cutting straight and true a breeze. This saw is not lightweight and is definitely a two hander for most work but it was designed with the professional in mind and does not disappoint.This saw may not be for everyone but if you are looking for a high performance saw to add to your collection and get top quality results....this is the one!

This is not your typical homeowners saw. Expect the superior performance of a professional level saw. Like the old tried and true worm-drive Skilsaw this is a big tool and copies the design layout of the old Skilsaw. With the blade on the left side like the Skilsaw it is easy to make precise cuts. Despite a magnesium body it is a bit heavy thanks to the two 18 volt batteries it requires. But the weight is not so much that I would consider it a big negative. I am extremely happy with this saw. With regard to Its cutting power, ease of use, and ease of making accurate cuts I have to say this is the best saw I've owned to date. My previous favorite was a corded Makita. My experience with this class of power saws dates back to the early 1970's.

it's great! arrived just like new at a great price. I have had an old corded skil saw worm drive forever. it works great and will go until the end of time. and that's great. but this is almost as powerful and way easier to get around with. I use this almost every day and I am getting way better cuts than i hsve in the past. If something happened to mine i would be buying another one immediately.

This saw : I absolutely love it!I bought that saw because I have seven 18v makita batteries, despite the comparaisons video I have watched, I said to myself that the difference was not that great between that saw and the other brands.When I received the saw, I was disappointed at the look that I have found a little bulky and have it stayed on a shelf for two week before I tried it. I thought it would be difficult to handle with one hand but holding this saw in action is fantastic even with one hand. I have two other cordless saw that are lighter weight than the Makita. But I was wrong this saw is precise and powerful, very helpful handles. You have to try it to understand.This is my favorite saw. The best I have bought so far.

This was new in box not renewed. Maybe the box had been damaged i don't remember but the tool is brand new.Makita makes the only 36v worm drive saw, and they have been making the best circular saws for decades. If you want a cordless 7inch worm drive this is the best option and its less than the corded options. Works with cheap generic batteries so save some money.

I got this on sale and didn't think I would ever use it too much. Now its my go to circular saw. I have a makita 18 volt regular circular saw, but this saw cuts fast and seems to last a bit longer on the two 18 volt batteries. The rear handle gives it more control it seems like to me. Its a little awkward to use at first if you are use to using the regular type circular saw. This is one of my favorite tools now.
