Easy to install. In spite of what Amazon garage said, it IS the part for my 2012 Santa Fe
Installation was pretty simple using instructions from Curt. I didn't have to remove the large storage tray or the side panels. I was able to install by removing the small storage compartment, the trim between it and the bumper and the two access panels behind the tail lights (fished the wires up on each side using stiff wire). There is a slot gap in the storage tray I was able to push the connector through and when not using, the harness stores in the storage tray. The wires are heavy enough gage and the seal around the rear hatch is pliable enough that I just feed the harness out the back and close the hatch on it when using. I've used it multiple times over the past 5 years and had no issues whatsoever.Note: as stated in the headline, Amazon says the 56078 harness will not work for my vehicle. The CURT website calls it out and my installation and history with it prove that it is correct.

Plug and play, worked great
I had this installed in my 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe in about 20 minutes start to finish. I followed their instructions aside from the part about removing the side panels inside the hatch, instead I just fished the cables through with a piece of wire. I drilled a 1" hole in the jack tray, so this coils up nicely in that compartment when it's not in use.

Super easy and highly recommend
Whiz bang! Took longer to install because I dropped the grounding screw down the panel and tried to find it instead of checking the tool box. Works like a charm, maybe 30 minutes start to finish. I would highly recommend this to anyone at any level. For my Santa Fe I had to take out three screws from the cargo tray, remove the same cover you remove to replace tail lights, and then reverse the process. Super easy. Don't mess with taking the entire side panel off, fish it through.

super easy to install
Bought for 2011 Santa Fe. Wire routing was very easy. Did not drill for ground but removed paint at a tail lamp mounting stud and used a star washer under factory mounting nut. Placed wires under (behind) cross brace separating the two storage compartments to insure no pinching or crushing occurred. Did not remove large side trim panels as instructions requested, but "fished" harness up each side (behind large panels) using a coat hanger - plenty of room. Instructions were very clear and well written, including outstanding detail pertaining to actions pertaining to vehicle trim removal. All parts were included. After 40 plus years of towing, it was great to get a truly "plug & play" product. A very minimal time-intensive product - although I tool a little extra time for routing (personal preference, being a ham operator) and making sure I didn't alter wife's vehicle (facing death on three continents didn't scare me as much as her ire :-) )

Relay works fine
The installation was complicated by removal of a lot of panels, but inadequate instructions and no provision for getting the wiring outside the vehicle. After I worked around these things the relay performs well.

Defective
Wired everything in which involves two plugs and a ground. I first used taillight nut and bolt which its says to use, I sanded off all paint. Lights worked on car but not trailer lights. Moved ground to metal body part, sanded all paint to bare metal and screwed in self tapper for ground. Still no trailer lights. Used light tester on plug, no power to any terminal. Sending back.

Works perfect. Super easy to install
Works perfect. Super easy to install. I installed this item on a 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe in under 10 minutes. You do not need electrical or mechanical knowledge to install this product. Anybody who knows what a screw driver is can do it. Anything can be accomplished with a YouTube video.

Makes adding trailer wiring easy
The Curt 56078 trailer wiring harness was a perfect fit for my 2010 Kia Forte EX. It was shipped quickly, arrived well packaged, and was easy to install.Having previously installed trailer wiring in several cars without a vehicle specific plug-in kit like this one, I was very pleased with how well it worked. The T-connectors just plug in to your existing tail light connectors, and the electronics handle the conversion from the separate brake and turn signal lights in the car to the combined ones on the trailer. There is still some work needed to remove and reinstall some of the trunk trim pieces to hide and protect the wiring, but I had the job done in less than an hour. And no soldering required!

Excellent product, fit my SF perfectly.
Between the instructions and the online YouTube videos this is so easy to install, I was amazed! I was used to cutting and soldering connections , this makes installing a harness a breeze.

Very easy install!
The good thing is its not under the vehicle and doesn't get dirty and corroded abd tucks away in the storage compartment.

Plug and play once you got into the panels

Poorly made in America
After fewer than a dozen uses, the pin has broken off leaving the trailer without any lights. Thoroughly disappointing result after a demanding installation. I recommend avoiding this product.
