Lowlife [DVD]

Evil recklesness and heroism all wrapped up in an unforgettable story
Lowlife is one of those movies that will have you yelling at the screen. That’s because it includes acts of evil, recklessness and then heroism. It tells the story from different perspectives leading up to the conclusion. All the characters stand out and the plot is one of a kind. It just gets better and better.

Well worth Seeing
This film took me for a huge surprise. This film starts off with a strings of different characters. They range from a motel clerk to a hitman. How each person behaves impacts other people without them knowing this. One nice surprise after the other. There is an ending that was one of the best I have seen in YEARS. Now I have no "connections to this film". I do not know anybody involved with it. All I can say is watch it but it does have a R RATING for a reason so, keep this film away from children. If you have have to buy it its worth it. It will be an investment. Once the stop making DVD'S this films value will skyrocket.

Man, Pulp Fiction was one influential movie
First off, the trailer for this makes it look SPECTACULAR. So, whoever did that, did it right. I would unfortunately say, Lowlife doesn't quite live up to its preview. It is quite entertaining, though. This movie steals said movie's form of storytelling, which is a disjointed style, from different perspectives, and where storylines and characters eventually coincide. Lowlife certainly has characters, plenty of criminal activity, as well as some grisly violence. I did not care for the happy ending, or the fact that everything is wrapped up with a nice little bow. Unusual for a genre flick, and something they actually didn't steal from Tarantino.

A perfect, demented, post-modern indictment of the moral monsters in our midst
The first few scenes of over-the-top violence almost made me shut this film down, but I'm glad I stayed with it. Like "Kill Bill 2" this film uses extreme, comic book violence to illustrate a very real evil that is prowling our streets in 2019: ICE. They are the villains who really do target families, separate parents from children, arrest immigrant victims at courthouses, and much worse. In this film, the evils of ICE are taken to their logical, horrifying extreme. The scenes are out of chronological order, like "Pulp Fiction", so the viewer has to figure out how all the puzzle pieces fit together. For that effort we are rewarded with a perfect, fairy tale ending: some guy gets some girl (but not the ones you expect), many villains get more than their punishment, and the world is left better than we found it at the beginning of the story.I really enjoyed this demented film and will share it with all my demented friends!

Positively spectacular
Gritty ulraviolence with just a taste of comedy and a surprising amount of heart. This movie surprised me in all the best ways. I put this movie on just as background while lounging on the couch expecting it to be a forgettable piece of low budget schlock (hey, I like low budget schlock so sue me). Instead less than 5 minutes in I found myself glued to the screen with my phone down. This movie held my undivided attention and just kept dialing it up right to the end. Really great movie.

One of the most interesting and original movies I've seen
A really wonderful movie, but there IS a little gore (if you're squeamish). It's for shock value, almost comic-book style, but is relevant to the plot. Other than that, one of the most interesting and original movies I've seen. Amazing plot and characters, fab acting. Highly recommended.

Good Indie Crime Flick - Original mix of the absurd and gritty realism.
Low budget, crime movie told in non-linear fashion. At no point in the movie did I know what was coming next.

Before i start...
I'm a big,big movie fan of everything from Laurel & Hardy,Musicals,Horror to Drama and Sci-Fi,so that includes B-Movies and Lowlife may well be classed as a B-Movie but it fits into a big budget Tarantino genre style of movie making.I only came across it by accident on YouTube and I'm so glad i did....from the opening scene it's got that crazy out of left field feel to it which makes it seriously enjoyable. Nasty, violent and gross,so if that's your thing don't miss it. I'm not one of those who fills reviews with spoilers,so with that i guess I'm done...i think I'm going the way round of saying "b-movie yes, very entertaining and wonderfully shot as well as great acting"

It Is A Good Watch Even Though.
If you just want to be consistently clichéd this is not your type of movie absolutely period not. see how I did that.this is a masterful unexpected gem of brutality that uses organ stealing as an excuse to be human.yes it has the Tarantino feel to it but this one, I don’t think rooting for these character is like rooting for Hitler being a nice guy.its like the dirtiest of rotten scoundrels you’ll ever want to encounter at any given time. in your life.these people in this movie shows how of no uncertain redeeming qualities they posses, its not a movie you can stomach long.the people who make these type of movies must have a pretty good handle of life going wrong in a hurry.one thing I’ll tell you Nicki Micheaux (Crystal) the recovering junkie motel owner in search of a kidney really played her part well.It Is A Good Watch Even Though.Widescreen 2.39:1English 5.1 DTS-HD with some Subtitles in English.

Great movie!
Great little movie! It's missing big names to have it being in the "Pulp Fiction" category, but the talent is there! Will be following this creative team's career from now on!
