Fill me up, but I have to make myself take each bite
These are very filling, and have a large amount of protein and fiber to keep you full. My biggest gripe with them is the way they taste. I have the Coconut Almond ones and they taste a lot like a fruit-cake base, with a sour aftertaste. The coconut isn't shredded, it is almost granulated, so don't expect much coconut texture. I save these in my desk drawer at work for the days when I miss breakfast, though I dread eating them because of the flavor. On the other hand, I don't want to give up breakfast, even if I am too busy to grab something. Make sure you have a large glass of water to help you get through the whole thing -- they are very dry.I think next time I will pick up something else instead.

Great for hiking and can be good for everyday consumption too.
Ok these are pretty decent and seem to be a bit more "natural" than most bars. The taste is interesting. It is definitely not the tastiest bar you will ever have, but the Coconut Almond is a fairly good flavor. I will try the other ones soon. Eating the bar is almost like having a meal, which is great for me while hiking or backpacking. Even if a normal day gets too busy, this is a decent meal replacement. Plus, it doesn't taste completely artificial like so many bars do. There are also a good amount of carbs and a decent bit of protein, which is just what I need on a long hike. The carbs give you immediate energy while the protein helps you feel full and may help with recovery. Just remember there are technically two servings in a bar. The nutritional info is below (taken from their website).Ingredients: Malted corn and barley, nonfat milk, non-gmo soy flour, honey, almonds, raisins, oats, soy oil, cocoa, sunflower seeds, wheat bran, lecithin, carob, vinegar.Nutritional InformationServing size: 53.2 G.2 Servings per containerCalories 220Protein 8 gramsCarbs 34 gramsFat 6 gramsCholesterol (0 mg/100 gm) 0 mgSodium 40 mgPotassium 360 mgDietary Fiber 3 grams

I like the bar - beware of expired product
I've been eating these bars since I was a kid and like them a lot. But I received expired bars. Amazon gave me a full refund, but it sure was disappointing.

A very good meal replacement for backpacking
I've been looking for a real meal replacement bar for lunches while backpacking for some time and these totally fit the bill. These are not glorified power bars, but a full meal replacement. The price is also very good for a bar of this type. I tried the coconut almond, and it gave me energy to do some serious miles without crashing. Since it is a full meal replacement, it is pretty dense, but not dry ( more like a fruitcake in consistency). I was also glad to find that it wasn't too sweet ( this gets important when your eating basically the same stuff for several days). Can't wait to take a supply with me when I through hike the East Coast Trail next summer.

Good go to snack
Good go to snack. The flavor of coconut almond isn't much...you can't taste either well. Their Fruit and Nut andCocoa are much better.

great backpack/locker food
you know when you out running errands and you start getting the hungriness. you drive by 30 fast food restaurants knowing its easy. well break the habit by putting this in you purse/murse and have a thermos of water- your set. I didn't realize it was two servings per bar- sill better that a burger and fries-I also keep them in my work locker, the area is climate controlled, so no worry about early spoilage due to heat.the Taste to me is great- I love coconut and the almond bits give a variety to the texture. I am truly full when I eat a whole bar- perhaps I could try to cut down to half a bar and see if it will still do the job. Strongly recommend a full bottle of water with it.

Dry use water.
Make sure you have a tall glass of water handy. this is a solid mealin a bar. Taste is fine and nutty but is seems dry compared to the barsI got in Seattle.
