Great show, but careful of toe strap!
Let me start by saying I really enjoy the footbed of these! I love how supported my foot /arch feel, which was what I was looking for when picking a sandal. My trouble has been with the toe strap. I have a wide, fat foot so I had to adjust the straps quite a bit for them to be comfortable. I did get to a nice place where everything felt as it should, but as I would walk, no matter what I did, the toe strap would tighten. This is apparently a common issue and I was unaware going into it. Chaco do offer a service Called “Rechaco” where they will correct this issue for free (you pay shipping) however, I was hesitant to do this as I’m nervous the issue would still be there.Like I said, once I initially adjusted the straps, everything fit great! The arch is great, they feel comfortable on my foot, but the toe strap is a hit button for me and I’m personally returning for another shoe.

Awesome, but heavy
I really love these sandals. After around a week of wearing them daily, I've learned a few things about them. At first, they felt extremely heavy. If you are used to foam flip flops or really light hikers, you might feel the same. It didn't take long to get used to the weight though, and it is comfortable now. The arch support is similar -- noticeable at first but I acclimated quickly. The colors are as shown. The buckle straps hang down, but you can find a trick online to tie them and fix that. The heel strap is pretty loose, but the others are all adjustable. I find that the big toe loops are uncomfortably tight when I first put them on, and I just adjust after slipping them on to the foot. One interesting thing to note: these sandals are highly uncomfortable when sitting on the ground cross legged because the plastic buckle digs into the foot.

LOVE
The sizing is accurate. Shipping was fast. Super comfortable. These were my first pair of chacos and I’m in love. They adjust and come with instructions how to do so. They’re very durable and the straps are great quality.

Perfect shoe!!
I bought these sandals because summer is coming and I have been riding bikes, taking walks, and I needed supported sandals that would not make my feet sweat. So, I chose chacos! I have heard both good and bad things about these sandals and decided to buy them. They fit perfectly, the color is awesome. I usually have a hard time with things in between my toes, but the strap was so thin and gave a perfect amount of support. Love this shoe!

Follow up: Warranty rocks
(April 2021 edit/addition) I bought these shoes back in May 2019 (original review is below), but I wanted to follow up with high praise for Chacos' warranty! These particular shoes broke in March 2021 (big split down the sole at the ball of the foot, see picture- the other shoe was starting to do the same, too) so I sent them in. A couple of days after USPS was to have delivered them to the ReChaco/Warranty place, I had an e-mail from the warranty department saying that they determined that it was a problem with the materials. They gave me a promo code so I could order another pair. Sending the shoes was a pain (you have to ship them yourself and given that Chacos are a little heavy, it cost a bit more than I like paying for shipping), but I love that they stand by their product and will work to make it right if something goes wrong._________________________________________________________________(Original Review) Now that I've had the shoes for a while, I am starting to like them. The stability is great! I was climbing playground equipment while babysitting as if I was in tennis-shoes. Normally sandals have my sliding all over the place when I try that. The comfort factor isn't fantastic (yet), but honestly they are more comfortable than most of my other sandals. And knowing that these are made to last (unlike my other sandals which usually only last a few months) makes this seem like a worthwhile purchase.I did a lot of research prior to buying them which allowed some of the less appealing factors to not be such big surprises. So for those who want to know what I learned, here you go:1) Size. I put "too large" even though this particular pair fits. I normally wear size 9 shoes. The first pair I bought were 9s and were like clown shoes. I ended up at a brick and mortar store that sells Chacos and tried them on until I figured out that in Chacos, I wear 7s! I haven't worn size 7 shoes since middle school. My advice, if you can try them on at an actual store, do that before buying online. If you get them to big, the arch of the shoe will hit the wrong part of your foot and cause a lot of discomfort.2) Blisters: Yep. I got some nasty blisters at the raised areas where the straps meet the sole (at my arch and opposite the arch). I also ignored the advice that said to break them in by wearing them for short periods of time and I wore them to work (as an elementary school teacher... including on field day...). Bandaged up the blisters and just kept on wearing them. Now, nearly 2 weeks later, the blisters turned to calluses and the shoes don't hurt anymore. Don't plan to wear them for long periods of time when you first get them unless you don't mind the pain. I have friends who wear Chacos only in summer have commented that each year requires a bit of a break-in period if you don't wear them year-round.3) Self-tightening straps- This was a big problem at first. It is still happening to a degree, but not to an uncomfortable level. I "flossed" them some which helped with that a little. Throwing them in the washing machine (gentle cycle, cold) had a huge impact. I think continued wear will eventually get those straps to settle.

Great sandal, be careful with size/width.
I have wide feet, and usually with cheaper shoes have to buy a size up. So I bought the 9, as I am a 8 1/2. Length was long, but because of my wide heel, it was too uncomfortable to stand in to ignore the length. I was standing on the arches where the strap inserts into the shoe, rather than standing on the sole of the shoe itself. So, I ordered a size smaller but in wide, 8 wide. The length is perfect (I have noticed with Chaco flip flops, the length is longer than expected, so I wasn't surprised that an 8 fits my 8 1/2 foot), and my wide feet are seated on the sole and not on top of the sides of the arch support. Happy feet, happy me! I wanted to leave this review now, just getting my size 8 wide today, in case anyone would find this helpful in choosing a size. I bought these to help alleviate plantar/heel pain, so hopefully it does and I will remember to come back to update!
