Good camera, the video quality is great but the motion detection is difficult to fine tune to get working efficiently and it occasionally cuts off before the event has stopped. Night vision through a window is ok but glare from a light will make it impossible to see out (as it would with most cameras like this one so it’s not a surprise to me and I knew it would happen) Although as an inside camera you can’t fault is night vision.

Got this as I have some kasa smart plugs so wanted to be able to use the same app on my phone.Good points:- Easy to set up with the app- Can turn the camera off in the app, no need to unplug it when you want privacy- We are using it to keep an eye on our baby when sleeping, it does the job, we can hear and can also send audio- Other features include saving different viewpoints to automatically change to, ability to set detection zones, auto tracking- Usb cable included is about 3 metres- Includes wall/ceiling mount if you wishBad points:- Videos recorded from auto-detection are automatically stored online, last two days only if using free version.- You can share recorded videos, which is ok, but I'm not sure if the URL is generated on sharing or its automatically created when uploaded. It's a random string but not sure if it's 100% secured or if people can guess- It takes about 5-10 seconds for the video to show up when opening the app. Sound comes on instantly

I have three of these cameras, I purchased them 3 years ago, still going strong with no issues, ideal for in the home, night vision is very good. I can recommend these cameras they are very very good.

So far I am very impressed with this camera. Installation was very simple via the app and mounting on the ceiling also very easy. I am doing some remodelling so channelling the cable through the ceiling and inside the wall was easy.Picture quality is clean, crisp and clear in good light conditions and the night vision is also very clear.The pan and rotate works well. It’s a little fiddly at first from the app but allowing for the connection lag it does well. Considering the price point, tilt and pan is a bonus really.I’ve been a fan of the Nest cameras for a while, having five of them in and around the house. However the initial outlay is massive compared to the Kasa cams yet the picture quality is pretty much the same. Likewise the Kasa cams come with two days free storage of activity clips. Where as Nest offer only live viewing and no cloud storage without subscription which starts to mount up with multiple cameras.So pleased with the tilt and pan camera I have just ordered a Kasa Spot for the office.

Very good value for what you get. Had tried the tapo models that don't have cloud in my region at least and require an sd card, and this is much better. The free 2 day allowance after 30 days is more than enough for our usage. And you can download any clips you want to keep relatively easily. Find the schedule useful to watch the cats while we're asleep though would be nice if the home/away setting in the app worked for turning off/on the camera when coming home/leaving during the day. For security I think the sdcard only models are pointless because we noticed with the tapo model if you missed the notification and someone broke in they could take the camera and you'd have no picture of them. At least with the cloud service as long as you are able to access within 2 days you can download the clip.

I waited for this to be on offer. At £40 odd it was a steal. Easy setup and goes with my long list of other KASA products. Quality is fantastic.Only things I could say negative is the power cable is very short, it was sufficient for where I wanted it but might not be for everyone.My other nag, and this is AMAZON not tp-link. The first item I received had been opened and the main bits were missing with just accessories in the box. I did get a replacement next day though which was fantastic.Overall very happy with this product. Have already ordered an outside one to match.
