Happy Tears & Rainbow Babies

Daddy reads to his son
Today, I'm a father of a 4 year old boy. Me and my wife loss identical twins three years ago. She was only 10 weeks pregnant. Having gone through such a devastating time in our life, I wanted to read a story book about such topic that my family can relate to, especially to my son. Happy Tears was just perfect on how it gently spoke on the topics of miscarriage and rainbow babies. What I appreciate the most is the religiousness aspect of the contents. My wife and I are currently pregnant with our rainbow baby and he is due in October. Our son is the most excited to meet his little brother. Happy Tears is now a treasure in our home. Thanks to the author and illustrator for creating such a needed book and for helping to continue the conversation on such a taboo subject. To the author, I wish you many years of success. Keep on writing...

A heartwarming story for all children
This book is a true dedication to all families with rainbow babies. Since the topic of miscarriage is usually a sad one, I was very curious to know how such a topic will be addressed in a children's book. I read it to my 15-month old son who listened very attentively and pointed at the attractive colourful illustrations. I was very surprised to see how the characters took us on a heartwarming journey from the beginning to the end. I love that the story explores sadness, hope, joy and compassion with children. I recommend this book for all children whether or not they are rainbow babies.

Tear jerker!
God this to read to my 3 year old to understand what a Rainbow baby is. We suffered a miscarriage in March 2019 and had our Rainbow Baby in March 2020. Our 3 year old loved the book and we love reading it to her. The way they talk about loss is perfect. I still get tears in my eyes when I read the book.

Mostly love!
I got this book for my newborn rainbow baby to read to him as he grows. I absolutely love how it speaks about God and his promise! For me though, it takes too long to get to the point. The story seems to go on and on. Overall, I like it! Cant wait to read it to him!

Happy tears and rainbow babies was an instant hit with me and my family.
The writer,Natasha Carlow, did a wonderful job of explaining something that is very difficult to speak about for so many families. I love that instead ofbeing a sad and gloomy book she celebrates the triumph of having kids after, while not diminishing what that loss meant to her and families to went through the loss of a child during pregnancy. The book is kid friendly so it is a great teaching tool also.

I'm so glad I found this book in hardcover!!!
My daughter requested this book on her baby registry, but she had the soft cover version listed. At first, I couldn't find a hardcover copy, then a month later, I checked Amazon and found this one! It's a nice thick book and should last a long time.

Wonderful
I ordered this book for my best friend who suffered a miscarriage and is now expecting her rainbow baby. I read it before giving it to her and I loved it. She absolutely loved it too. Of course it made her cry, but not weep so much that she can’t read it to her daughter someday.

Beautifully written
So sweet and beautifully written. Once my child gets older this will be a great story to read when we tell her about her siblings in heaven. Love how gods promise of the rainbow is mentioned as to why she is referred to as our rainbow baby

Cried my eyes out
I got this book for my rainbow baby. After 7 losses and finally getting our rainbow, we have everything rainbow for her. I read this book to her as soon as it arrived and cried my eyes out. It also made my husband cry and my older children cry. It is a good book and reminds us that even though we have children who didn’t get to be with us on earth, they are with us always.

Beautiful story of love and hope after loss
I love reading this book. I actually read it with my daughter. It is a lovely read, that speaks of hope after miscarriage and loss. I love the title of the book, the illustrations and the symbolism of the rainbow as used in biblical times...I think this book is a must-read for families who have gone through miscarriages and have rainbow babies after that time in their lives. The book is kid-friendly and an important conversation piece for all parents who want to talk to their children who came after a miscarriage.I highly recommend this book. Five stars and more. Blessings Natasha Carlow.
