Streamlight25090 Nylon Holster - SL Series, 3C ProPolymer Series, ProTac HL-4/HL-5X

The one big drawback is that if you leave the light in the holder on your belt and you are in and out of a vehicle a lot, the belt loop will tear away from the holder in a short period of time. This holder would be excellent if constructed with heavier materials.

I needed something to hold my big light (hl5x) on the outside of my backpack. This is the one!The button clip is aggressively tight/hard. Will take a few times to break it in.

A Streamlight Protac HL 5-X slips in easily and perfectly. The snap cover fits the flashlight head tightly, so it won't be swaying around on your hip. The snap is STIFF. Like, hold it against your leg (off of your belt), and press with the base of your hand HARD, repeatedly, trying to get it to snap. It's not . . . perfectly made. Insert a finger and rotate the outside of the snap, and it works better . . . that time. I'm hoping with some wear it will loosen up a bit. I'm not yet going to dap a bit of Teflon lube to it just yet . . .With so few options out there for this monster flashlight, I'm glad this exists! Staying at 5 stars hoping it will loosen up, or I lube it, or I file it down a bit.

I got this to use on my 2" duty belt for a Fenix TK60 flashlight. it fit the light pretty well but since the TK60 light has 3 horizontal ribs at the top near the reflector area of the light it got stuck when trying to pull it out. I figured out that there was a stitching at the top of the holster that was catching the edges of these and making it hard to take out. I later removed the stitching so it couldn't catch on anything. Since then it works great with no problems. Before making the modification I used a friends Maglight/Streamlight and they both fit perfectly without any issues.The holster is made for a thick 2.5" belt and is a bit wide for my current set up. I plan to sew it up soon to make it more snug.The button snaps from the top down which is nice to have and overall looks is nice. I would buy again.

Fits the Streamlight Protac HL4 perfectly. The snap is pretty hard to secure and remove but I imagine it will loosen with time. Good ride position on the belt as well.

Snap was hard at first but it was meant to be snapped at an angle to lock in ace. Love it

Holds the light alright, but tears easily with basic use. Please make a holster for the HL5X that is like for the regular Stingers, that is the rigid nylon, and have it ride higher on the waist like they do.To prevent it from tearing, you'll have to remove it from the holster when sitting in a vehicle.Edit:Update on the holster. It finally gave out about 6 weeks ago. Dropped to 1 star. I wasn't harsh on it at all. I just used it for work every day, and at home.

The holster will fit my streamlight pro tac hl4 but the belt loop is so thin and sewed so cheaply it will break in no time if used in a standard police/ security application. Also the flap that snaps over the flashlight head is hard to snap. I returned mine immediately. Do better streamlight, this is sad.
