Heavy duty with extra options for gas grilling
This is a great and versatile skottle. It is much heavier and is cast iron and lower cost more value for the $ than a Turbo Tusk. It lighter weight is your goal go with the Tembo Tusk. I have both and like the fact you can easily take the top off the ORIS and use another griddle, fry pan or coffee pot too. NOT so easy with the lighter Tembo so less weight but less options. definitely watch this video comparison Have FUN in the outdoors and eat well! https://www.amazon.com/vdp/339be0c96ea3461aa02f5c036a31713d?ref=dp_vse_rvc_0

I use my Tembo Tusk Skottle everyday!
I use my Tembo Tusk Skottle everyday! It has completely replaced my stove, oven and grill. The food cooks quickly and evenly. Everything I make tastes amazing. Clean-up is quick and easy. I take it camping, Jeeping for trail lunches, togethers with friends in the backyard and all kinds of events. The Skottle always gets a lot of attention everywhere I go!

Overpriced
Its ok, very bulky and heavy uneven cooking surface everything falls to center. Difficult to manage temps with pos stove that comes with it. Price not justified.

BBQ anywhere
I got fed up of park rangers telling me I can’t bbq in some areas- this is more versatile I use my propane tank to cook anything from salmon to fried eggs-it’s pricey one may say but fun to use once you own one and you can take it anywhere you go in your vehicle.

Skottle - the overlanding essential
We absolutely love this thing. After one trip out we tossed all our other camp cook wear. We wanted one of these after seeing it at a overland rally and we wish we would have bought it sooner. If your on the fence just do it- buy one- you’ll love it.

Oris storage bag
Don't trust the storage bag included and don't pay for the bag if an option. The handle stiching will not hold 30 pounds but for a half a second as it did with my brand new oris skottle it dropped on to my garage floor. I found storing it in a portable fireoit bag much better since the burner components will not get damaged vs holding the skottle vertically and risking damage to the burner. It fits perfectly in a 19 inch firepit bag with real stiching thats made to last

Not worth it
It is a good idea, but with the price and weight, it isn't worth it. The one I bought came with an Oris branded carry bag and a dome lid. The bag is a piece of crap. One of the straps broke the first time I picked it up, but I was able to tie it together instead. The propane tip rips a hole in the back of the bag. The removable disk plate for the burner isn't worth it, which was the main selling point for this over a tembo tusk. Now after using this one, I wouldn't use either.. The skottle just isn't a very good cook system. It is either not hot enough or scorched earth. Plus, using this thick of cast iron in the winter takes forever to heat up, especially because the heat doesn't transfer well. If you were set on using one, I'd recommend to DIY one because it would be just as good. Blackstone flat grill is better for cast iron or your basic coleman stove with pans are better as well.
