This is worth my time...writing this review. This collar is wonderful. It has changed my life. The options are good. Soft setting that can gradually increase, giving a dog time to learn the collar. It has a stronger setting that works for my older dog. The greatest feature is when you have two dogs, they are not setting off each other's collar by merely barking. No, each collar will only give the warning or cue to not bark when a vibration of the throat is felt along with the bark. Yes! Success. Two dogs with different training needs, same type collar. Our 8 month, 60 lb. puppy- first time wearer- barks, barks again, thinks, and barks softer, quietly rumbles and decides it is not worth it. No crying, no whimpering, no shaking head, just compliance. There should be an extra star for unexpected good things. Since our pup decided barking at the back door was not a good idea, he also decided that entertaining himself outside, enjoying a beautiful day was a good idea. Double yes. Even though our older dog needed a firmer setting due to being on patrol and the squirrels being terrible teases around here, after a couple times wearing the collar, she got the idea. She is a fast learner.I've used three different citronella or spray collars and the older dog barks and ducks the mist, lightning fast. No problem barking through it. The puppy likes citronella and doesn't seem to mind the mist or puff. He is amused by it. With the older dog, I used to stand inside and manually give her a correction when I heard her bark with an older system, but if I went off watch for any reason, she was willing to take her chances and bark some more. Moral of the story- many problems require many different solutions. These collars are pricey but are on duty when I can't be. I now only put them on when I know grandkids are coming over or if wildlife parades the yard perimeter. The collars have stood up to some pretty intense playing. I did catch the pup trying to chew the older dog's collar during quiet time. I told him to "leave it" and he obeyed! I don't think the collars will stand up to intentional chewing.I almost forgot! The BATTERIES. They are rechargeable. And I haven't had to recharge them yet. Purchased September 7, 2017, still working October 14, 2017. I even forget to shut them off after removing them from the dogs occasionally. Waterproof, the collars work well when one of the dogs decides to jump into the pool or run through our mucky pond or dash around in the rain. One teeny, tiny item left. I didn't like the plastic collar and old style buckle. It works, but I replaced the squirmy puppy's collar with a narrow nylon, flat collar with snap buckle for easier collaring.

Works immediately without breaking their spirit
I have a Bluetick Coonhound. IYKYK. For those that don’t, hounds are incredibly vocal. I wanted something to keep the neighbors from hating me but was concerned about breaking her spirit. I mean hounds gonna howl right? Anyways this collar works great. Keeps the bark under control and when you take it off they understand and bark again - although more tempered. Did exactly what I wanted

Works most of the time.
We have been very happy with this product. Our dog barks at people as they walk by our house (we have a gate at the end of our driveway) and this has definitely helped him stop barking. Now he just runs up to the gate and stares, but no barks, perfect! Only issue, and I would have given it a 4.5 if I could have, is that sometimes it doesn't seem to trigger when he barks, not sure if it's not tight enough or what, but that's kind of annoying. Overall, awesome product and all we have to do is put it on our dog and he knows that he is not allowed to bark. Recommended.

NOT for small dogs, very strong shock even on the lowest setting
My dog is a 3 year old rescue beagle mix, small. She is very nervous which maybe is one of the reasons she barks to other dogs at the park. I read the description of the collar and many of the comments and thought that if it was as harmless as it said there, why not try it. I've been against shock collars always but thought this was going to be different. First time i tried it i put it in the lowest setting as per the instructions, We went to the park, as soon as she barked to another dog she got shocked, she was so scared she jumped and cried and it seems that the collar continued to shock her while crying, she was running back and forth crying, her tail down below her legs, she even went into the street (its not a closed park) not obeying my stop command, thankfully there were no cars coming. I couldn't hold her. Finally she gets quiet and comes to me, I remove the collar, put on her leash and try to walk away. But she wouldn't move she was breathing very agitated, she was really scared. It took me a while to have her to walk with me. Finally she did but kept stopping. She was not herself.I'm sure she didn't understand that she was shocked for barking but thought there was something in the park that hurt her and she wouldn't move.I had to go back home and there she was again herself. she felt safe at home. It's been more than two weeks since this happened and she is still afraid of going to that park.I contacted sport dog support looking for advise and their response was to keep using the collar that it wouldn't harm my dog. Maybe not physically but no doubt it harmed her phsycologically. I'm still hopping she forgets about this experience and is happy again to go to that park. I do not recommend the use of this product at all.

People have commented what sweet dogs they are now
We have two dogs and it was important to us that one didn't get shocked or punished when the other barked. These work perfectly. Before we got the collars we only had issues with barking when we were not home. So we put them on in the morning before going to work and remove them when we get home. They have eliminated barking when they are wearing the collars and greatly reduced barking even when they are off. Also have help calm our two dogs down. They are only 1 year old so they had a lot of energy and when they started barking they just kept feeding off each other. Our trainer said barking was rewarding for them. They calm down much faster with the collar training. We were hesitant but had to do something. The dogs are much more enjoyable for our guests to be around. People have commented what sweet dogs they are now. And that definitely was not the case before the collars. Even with our training. I would recommend them if you have dogs that bark when you are not home. Or bark when they get excited.
