A good read. very uniquely narrated with good twisted humor
Most uniquely written/narrated book. Keeps you interested and laughing and curious. Theres 2 books of the Templeton twins. Even my daughter who has adhd and other learning disabilities and challenges hates reading really liked this book!

a cute, entertaining MG novel
John and Abigail are brilliant twins with a brilliant father who's an inventor. All three find themselves in quite a predicament when Dean D. Dean, one of the father's former students, claims an idea was stolen from him. Dean D. Dean is relentless and acquires an accomplice, his twin brother Dan D. Dean, to kidnap John and Abigail. Dean has plans to secure the rights to the father's latest invention, the one-man personal helicopter, but he's abducted the wrong duo. This is a cute, entertaining MG novel. Along with the story, I enjoyed the formatting with its chapter headings, illustrations, and witty and funny quizzes.

Different......But Great!
This book was like nothing I've ever read. The narrator talked a lot and I have to admit that sometimes I became annoyed and wished that he would stay on subject instead of talking about senseless things. The narrator would stop and and explain something that I already knew at the most critical moment. Even though the narration was exasperating there was never a dull moment in the book. The story line was great- two brilliant twins having to come up with ideas to save their father's invention and escape the clutches of criminal twin brothers. This book tied hilarious moments, ingenious thought and spine tingling suspense into one thought provoking adventure!

Great plot but avoid the narration...
Just finished reading this with my Year 4 (8-9 year olds) class as part of a six week series of lessons on mystery stories and other associated writing styles. The plot itself is good but the irreverence with which the narrator tells the story is tedious to start and at times spoilt the flow of the story - and this is not just my view but the view of some of the children in my class. "Boring parts" was one description I received as part of their review of the book. It could have been written as a short story but I think the author was trying to aim for the "Wimpy Kid" style market in the narrator's writing style.

this is boring and non eventful
Not worth reading! Poorly written and to be honest, this is boring and non eventful. If this is meant to inspire youngsters to read then don't let them read this!
