I wish they had a built in GPS so I would not have to buy so many pairs.
I've been working in the low-voltage industry for years, and I’ve gone through various tools for cutting all types of cable but the ARES 70105-5 1/2-Inch Multi-Purpose Heavy Duty Shears are by far the best I've used. They’re tough and built to last. I’ve put them through a lot of wear and tear, and they still perform like they’re brand new. The blades stay sharp, and they cut cleanly without causing any frays or damage to the cables, which is crucial for keeping everything working right. What I really appreciate is how easy it is to use them. Whether I’m cutting through a thick jacket on a coax cable or stripping the insulation off a CAT cable, they do the job without needing much force. It definitely helps to reduce hand strain, especially when I’m working long hours. If I could change one thing, I’d add a GPS tracker to them. They’re so good that I keep misplacing them, and having a way to track them would save me some headaches!

The best for the job site.
I work as a field technician and let me tell you right now these are some of the best snips you can get. Although the price might deter you, let me be clear, it’s worth every penny. These bad boys cut through things like a hot knife through butter. I’ve been using (and abusing) them for a while now and the blades haven’t lost their edge. Not only do they cut plastic and cloth. They even cut through 10 gauge wire with ease. 10/10 would recommend. Maybe get 2, your coworkers may end up walking away with a pair.

Good value for general use but choose projects wisely.
I bought these for general usage and although they worked very well for a about a month on simple tasks they are fairly worthless now. I chose them because of easy slide lock feature and the price point. I did wish they came with a cover or case but I think at 13 bucks that’s being greedy. They became useless after I used them to cut through some thin, cheap 1/8” plywood. Now, don’t get me wrong, they did the trick but now they are warped. So, now whenever using them with minimal force the space between a blades becomes apparent and the blades don’t meet; they just don’t work. They are like an old pair of kitchen scissors.I thought about it hard and I really think that there are enough good similar versions of this tool on the market that would be more durable at a similar price. Granted it got me through my project with ease if I’d have known that thin a wood would ruin them I would have purchased a different pair. However if you want something of good value to quickly cut and click general items this worked verY well. Just don’t use it on anything remotely thick. I wish I hadn’t let the amazon return deadline go by!

These snips for the win
So I bought these snips 9 months ago. I’m a Data Communication I cut a lot of cate6/cate6a cable. The major project on right now is a 3 building financial campus 100% renovation of each building. Just completed the first building a month ago. Techs out there imagine 5 floor builds with 12-14 CPs on each floor with 2 24-port patch panels in each one. I terminated at least half of them on my own.Stripping the cables with the lil notch on the snips was so clutch it made stripping so easy for me.Durable for sure at least my pair was and still is. I dropped these snips off of top ladders and short distance drops so many times I can’t count that high lol. Each time I was like plz don’t let the tip break and by god this these held up nicely. How the cut. Like a hot knife through butter for about 8 months. They only got walkers when I let my boss use them to cut a few huge bundles of old cat6a on the 2nd building during a demo. They are still good even during the pulling and installation of the 2nd building top floor. I only noticed today that when I cut the pull string I had to cut 2 or 3 times, sometimes 1 time of the pull string if I catch the string in the right place when I snip. But overall I’m still slicing and dicing with these things. I’ll be getting another pair soon just so I can show them off

Great value and does the job well
Needed a larger tool to cut LMR400/RG213 sized coax cable. This tool cuts well with minimal deforming of the cable. Cutting edges are slightly curved which helps reduce crushing. When cutting coax cable, it helps to run the cutter around the complete circumference to cut through the jacket first and then completing the cut with an abrupt squeeze of the handles. A bit cumbersome when cutting larger cables with smaller hands because the handles have to be spread over 5" (measured at the middle of the grips) to begin the cut. Other than that, I'm totally satisfied.

Great Cable Cutters!
These cable cutters are razor-sharp, and they cut RG-6 quad shielded coax cable with ease. The rounded blades also prevent the cable cutters from deforming the dielectric insulation in coax cable. I have also used these cable cutters to cut both solid and stranded wire from 14 gauge all the way up to 6 gauge, and they handle everything with ease. The cable cutters feel solid, with some heft to them, while still being comfortable in your hand. I highly recommend these cable cutters to anyone that needs to cut a lot of cable or wire, especially coax cable.

My new favorite scissors
I originally got these as a replacement for my lost electrician snips. You know the ones. But I really ended up liking these and now I have 4 pairs around the house just for general purpose. They're nice and compact, a more comfortable grip than most, and have larger finger loops than the traditional sort. Easy to adjust the tension and it stays put without loosening up like others do over time. There're slightly serrated, so you might still want some regular old scissors for cutting paper if you want a smoother edge to the cut, but they're great for everything else. Great as kitchen shears, for crafts, in the workshop, doing electrical and internet... you name it. There's no reason to have junky dollar store scissors. This is one example where paying a little more for something is totally worth it.

Fine, clean cuts at a low price!
I've used this for about 30 Stainless Steel cable cuts. Not a problem: every cut clean and with little strength required. It's the first time I've used a cable cutter - makes my previous cuts (with hack-saws, bolt-cutters, etc.) seem primitive, slow and hard work. I don't know what would merit a more expensive manual cable cutter, so I recommend this one.

Best scissors ever! These work great for all my needs so far
Well, I haven't used these for cutting wires, I have snips for that, but as utility scissors for anything from plastic to stripping wire I have used them and they work great. Don't think I'd want to use them to cut electrical household wiring (larger than 18AWG), but for the small electronics I work with it should be fine.

Works great
I use these to cut old school jack chain for lighting support. I was struggling when using other cutting pliers (arthritis). For me these pliers are a game changer. They are physically smaller than I expected, but that is actually a bonus. (They must use a child for the hand model lol).I ripped off the handle lock as it was chincy and got in the way. (I do, however generally like handle locks but this one was kind of a pain in the butt). A co-worker bought the Capri model and the tip of his pliers broke so I guess I made the right choice.I would purchase these again.

wow these are good
it's like I never used properly good scissors for the purpose of cutting stuff, before thisif you need to cut cordage these are pretty freaking good.i wouldn't be cutting wire with them because that's not what they're for, but some mad lad or lass out there is probably doing that very thing right now and these scissors are probably eating that narrow gauge wire for breakfast and asking for a thicker gauge wire, even though it might be beyond them, they'll give it a red hot goalso, just look at them. I think you know they're serious in this cutting business because of the pro looking and very sturdy nylock nut holding them togetherbut these ones, not the other ones
