Slingbox IR Emitter/Infrared Blaster Cable for All Sling Models (2 Heads/Control One or Two Devices)

When the remote feature on my 5 year old Slingbox Pro HD stopped responding, I assumed it was probably time for a replacement. However, this Slingbox works flawlessly and I wasn't ready to spend $200 on a new one that had mixed reviews from consumers. I immediately went to the Slingbox website to see if there was a fix for this issue and found that the remote control not responding is probably a result of the IR blaster on my cable box not communicating with the device. I performed tests recommended by Slingbox and discovered that the bulbs at the ends of the IR blaster cable had burnt out. I was able to order a replacement IR blaster; however, it was different than the original one that stopped working. When I received the replacement, I thought the vendor had sent me the wrong IR blaster. Anyway, I proceeded to connect the blaster to the Slingbox and affix the ends to front of the cable box. At first nothing happened. I went ahead and rebooted the Slingbox and to my surprise, it worked immediately. In fact, the responsiveness of the remote control appears to be smoother with the new IR blaster.

Finally found the right tool for the right job. Had to make sure the it was the "SlingBox" IR Emitter. Works great. Have only had it on line for a few months, but I'm not expecting any problems.

Could be that it does not work with the type of cable box that I have. I spent 2 hours trying to make it work but could not.This emitter is different from the other one that I have and has been working fine for years.

I could log into it and watch whatever the the cable box was tuned to, but I could not change channels or set recordings, volume etc. I thought, okay, there went that money down the drain, since the slingbox was well out of warranty. I did some research and found the most likely reason for my issue was a defective IR blaster cable. I checked with slingbox and they had a replacement cable for 19.99 plus shipping. I of course jumped on Amazon and found this cable which on special for 14.99 and prime eligible. Boom! I ordered it, and in 2 days my package arrived. After plugging it in and resetting my Slingbox it is purring right along. This cable is well made and works perfectly with my Slingbox Pro HD, Thanks Bleiden for the well made replacement cable that got my Slingbox back to slingin.I

Works as expected, but SUPER disappointing to find nothing has really changed or been updated in the app since we had the original SOLO box in the early 2K. Menus, guides and remotes are still clunky and frustrating. No picture in picture in this day and age. Working through the cable "On Demand" is tedious. End up just waiting for shows to be on Netflix, their platform has evolved over time, maybe Sling should follow suit and not just put all their efforts into SlingTV.

Works great on an older slingbox that had really bulky IR cables. This is a much cleaner solution than the original OEM.

Exactly what I needed for my Slingbox SB260! Plugged right in, and I was back in business! I’m only using one of the two bulbs, and my channel changes are working 100% of the time again. It’s very, very nice to have it working well.

Represented as a Slingbox branded item including the Singbox logo on the image but appears to be generic. Worked fine.
