Air blows very cold, is very loud, looks very nice, eco mode very stupid, very good unit
On an 80 degree day I cranked it down to 68 to see what the air temp would be. I measured the temps between 39 and 45 blowing out of the thing and it was down right chilly! Wayyyy chillier than any of my previous units over my lifetime. It's pretty loud, but honestly it's a good white noise loud. The noise tells you it's working. When the compressor kicks on it's LOUD but pretty usual and routine.I find eco mode stupid. Every time I turn it on it defualt to being in eco mode making me turn it off. Some people like it, not me. It makes the entire unit turn off and on as it cools over the course of a few minutes, which is jarring on an audio level vs it always humming away. The air temp itself will also be in the mid 60s vs the ice cold ones I mentioned before. At first I thought that was as cold as it would get, but once I pressed Eco to disable it, the temps radically dropped into awesomeness. This thing almost gets TOO cold at times it's amazing after mowing the lawn.Overall this thing is worth it's weight in gold and I'd gladly buy another. The remote is pretty cool but honestly I haven't used it that much. I use it in a room that doesn't get central air so even though it's partially supplemented it's pretty well entirely cooled by this beast.

Saved me from the heatwave
I've been running an 8,000 btu of this same brand, but with the intense heat so early this year & the loss of 2 shade trees, it was no longer cutting it. I wanted to go with a 12k unit, but the house I rent is old & I was worried it would be too many amps. Anyways, to get on with it...Packaging: The item arrived packaged very well. They even included foam & weatherstripping. The unit has a small ding on the top, and an area of the fins that is messed up. This is pretty minimal for shipping such a large item, and I've had worse damage on ones I've bought in the store.Install: Instructions are simple, and you only have to install the side pieces. (The instructions included installing the top bar, but mine was already intact.) I'm a petite, 50-something-year old & I had no problems with it. Not saying it was fun, but it's not so heavy that you can't manage it yourself. You basically get in the window & you're ready to go.Features:* The vents are 3" tall (my last 2 were 2.5") so it puts out a good amount of air flow. I can easily feel it standing 12 feet away & use a fan to take advantage of moving that air towards my bedroom.* The cord is LONG - twice as long as my last unit, giving me a lot more flexibility for changing outlets.* The panel is nice & clearly labeled. No odd symbols or abbreviations to have to lookup every time you forget what they mean. Not much more to say.* Remote. Comes with one. I haven't used it yet as I've had it set the same to keep my dog cooler in this heat.* Yes it has foam, and it's much thinner than my older unit. You can see sunlight coming thru. I haven't found another brand that doesn't use the same cheap materials here.** If the unit shuts itself off when you 1st try it, check to see if the ECO button is on. It will save you a 2-minute hissy fit over thinking you got a bad unit, trust me. It has automatically reverted to the ECO feature after turning the power off & on; not sure if you can change this.Noise:* I've seen complaints about this, but if you lookup the model specs for other AC's, you'll find this unit is = or < decibels than others on the market. The highest setting is 3 decibels lower than my 8,000 unit. I'm happy.* The noise difference between the on/off cycle is minimal. It doesn't sound like an airplane taking off & won't scare the crap out of you.Summary:In comparison with my 8,000 btu on a 94 degree, sunny day, this kept my house consistently 2 degrees cooler during the worst hours of the day. It cooled down faster at dusk; with the unit on 72, I was at 73 degrees by 7 pm instead of midnight, and that's where it stayed until the heat built up again the next day. Again, this in an older, poorly insulated home with bad windows & no shade. I really didn't think 2,000 btu would make that much of a difference, so I'm really pleased with how it's working so far. I feel it's definitely worth what I paid for it & hopefully it will last at least 2-3 years.

Best Unit I’ve EVER Owned!!
Let me start by saying that this unit was ordered in exchange for a different brand that I installed and replaced after day one. I have had window air conditioners since 2008. I recently moved and “started over” and needed a larger unit.Though I have central air, I’m a very warm sleeper. And it seems no matter where I live, my bedroom is always the warmest room in the house. So in order not to overwork the central air just to keep one room cool enough, I have a window unit just for sleeping. The minute I installed this unit and turned it on I knew it was a winner. The first thing that struck me was that I could feel the cold air blowing clear across the room; 14 feet. Other units, I can barely feel them standing 2 feet away. Based on previous units I’ve purchased/owned, this one is also quieter. And the “noise” it does make is more like a steady white noise - not the super rattling noise I’m used to with ACs. Also, the 6 way directional air flow is a fantastic feature. My window ledges are closer to the floor and this allows me to point the air at the ceiling where it can better “mix” like it’s supposed to. Oh, and the lowest temp you can set is 62, which in my experience, is lower than most by 4 degrees. In a matter of 5 minutes, this unit cooled down my room 7 degrees cooler than the one I exchanged out - which had been running for over 24 hours when I swapped them. When I look at reviews, the first thing I search for is whether or not the distributor offers amazon credits or a gift card for a five-star rating. This one did not, nor am I getting anything - other than a fantastically cool room. I highly recommend this unit! If you install it properly and buy the right BTUs for your room size, people, sun, etc., you will not be disappointed. Install is super easy. I am a 58 year old woman and had no issues doing it myselfwhatsoever. So long as you can lift the weight and follow directions you’ll do great and reap the benefits of this mighty machine - otherwise you might need a helper. This is by far the best unit I’ve ever had!! HopingThis review doesn’t jinx me (LOL).

Arrived damaged, but works well.
The a/c arrived damaged. The packaging was solid and undamaged. However, it cools the room down fast and I needed that more than I needed it to be pristine. The remote has a thermometer in it (why do I find that so nifty?) so I can test the temperature throughout the area. It's much noisier than my previous a/c, but it's a little larger, too. Make sure you keep the drainage hole on the underside clear.

Dependable
Have been using their air conditioners for years, long-lasting and dependable. A little noisy if you are close by.

Noise
The device is very noisy. When it starts again the noise is infernal. Impossible to sleep when it works.I'm really disappointed for a supposedly silent device.
