NHL Stanley Cup Hockey Table Game (NY Rangers / Boston Bruins)

I played the table hockey games as a kid and thought it would be fun to relive the past. This set is a piece of art it works flawlessly and is much more durable than the ones I had as a kid. As long as you turn it over and ensure the players are in their slots on the bottom of the set as they will come out during shipping everything works great. When putting the players on I recommend Pushing up on the plastic piece from the bottom as you put the player on the top post as they go on very tight which is a really good thing. I like the fact you can order more teams and it is extremely fun to play. I have now become the household champion of hockey and have yet to be dethroned. I hope to carry this title for quite a while but be warned should you want to take my cup away. I am getting pretty good!!! This is a must buy if you have kids that can play with you. It is simply a blast to play and very well made.I recommend putting a yoga pad under it or something that will grip the table and keep it from sliding it will help it stay in one place better as in a heated match it will get pushed around in the excitement of play.

The game is just as much (non-video) fun as I remember playing 30 years ago. It gets a ton of play from all ages, and none of us even watch or play real ice hockey. It is also exactly as durable and fragile as the game I remember. You can't punch or shove the controls hard, or you'll bend the wires. Otherwise, it holds up to aggressive play.Only drawback is the price. $175. My memory was it used to cost about $30.

Comparing this hockey game with quality of like hockey games in years gone by, this tabletop game is not near the quality of old. The rods are thin and cheap, the players are OK, the nets are ok. This is a game that you have to be careful with and , for that reason, I gave it 2 stars

First of all, the photo of this Stiga brand table top hockey does not do it justice. It is way bigger in real life than I thought. We got it for our two sons birthday ages 12 & 7. They were beyond thrilled when they laid eyes on it and love playing this constantly. It was so easy to put together actually my 72 year old mom - in - law did it by herself no problem. The guys can be easily removed and replaced with other teams which is cool. It can also simply be stored under a bed. It's almost like an awesome retro game and I am so happy I grabbed this deal up. Nice job Stiga... One important thing - the hockey table game I chose first was with teams I was not familiar with which was fine. However, I was so impressed because a few hours later I came across the same table with the boston bruins vs New York rangers and Amazon let me change my order no problem ! I guess as long as it hadn't shipped, it easily changed. Thank you for always making ordering a smooth and enjoyable process like no other company 😄

This little game surprised me in how much fun it is to play. The players have good range of motion and there are many different ways to score goals which keeps things interesting. Lots of thought went into the design of the game including ejecting the puck from the goals which keeps play moving along. My only gripe is the price tag but if it lasts a few years then it’s a descent value.

Only gave 4 stars since rods seem a bit flimsy can see where they may flex and bend over time. The older versions from many years ago have more ridged stronger rods

When my son asked for this for Christmas I tried to talk him out of it. It seemed like the kind of toy that he would play with for a couple weeks, and then it would be forgotten. I'm pleased to say that more than four months later, it's still being played! I think it helped that we bought the stand also, so it's not taking up any table space (I do wish the stand were a bit higher, though - my son is 5'4" and he has to stoop a bit to play). It was not all that quick or easy to put together, but once it was together it stayed that way - except for one stick, which we had to super-glue back into its holder. It's been fine since then. My husband even plays it with his friends! If I could give four-and-a-half stars I would, just for the difficulty with putting it together, but I'm rounding up to five.

Not as sturdy as the one I had as a kid. But it sure is fun. My boys and I play this thing all the time it is awesome. Even the four year old is getting pretty good. Pay the extra money to get a Stiga you won't regret it
