Was trying to be proactive and get a new cable tie out for my dog before the previous one broke. Saw this and liked that the clasp had an extra locking mechanism for security. Turns out, that was not an issue because the cable itself came apart, as you can see in my photo.I had run down to put a load of laundry in when it happened and my dog took off after another dog. My neighbor heard the ruckus and fortunately investigated and was able to get her. The person with the other dog said my dog was almost hit by a car in the process!I ordered this April 3 and received it April 8. It broke May 13, 10 days after the return window closed, of course.Waste of money and dangerous!!!

My Airedale is a big guy and good hearted, but he gets so excited and happy to see other dogs (and people) that he would have certainly snapped a lesser leash long ago.This one has survived basically like new for about a year and is basically a solid steel rope with a thick plastic coating. He did get ahold of the leash to chew once, and while a small portion of the plastic coating on the bottom was punctured, the integrity of the leash was unaffected and there has been no rust or anything. Highly recommended for large dogs!

Worst lead I’ve ever used. My dog (70 lb lab mix) has gotten off of it 4 times in the matter of a couple months. The carabiner is not secure. Reason being that the lead does not have any ability to spin like a traditional lead would. So as the dog runs in circles and does what dogs do, the cable will bind up. The binding will actually unlatch the fully tightened and locked down carabiner and allow the dog to escape. Horrible design. The binding has worn the opposite end of the lead attached to the tie down completely through the coating and has already started rusting. Just poor quality all the way around.Updated:4 stars for customer service. Offered a full refund with no need for return.

This is the 2nd cable in 2 weeks the replacement I just recieved few days ago is twisting and does not stretch out my 30lb dog is breaking this cable and this company is just fulse advertising this product saying it can hold up to a 250lb dog it cant hold my 35-40lb dog he snaps themUpdate : 11-29-2020This cable hurt my dog i am highly upset it twisted around his tail and in his fur it yook me 20 minutes to get him free hes in pain and i am very upset !!!!! Iwill be going to corporate the seller will payfor my dog to go to the vet its very possable this product BROKE my dogs tail from being twisted around my dogs tail

My 200 lb bull mastiff was no match for this cable. Because he loves other dogs so much, he charges at them to play. To say the least, they do NOT like it. He went charging after a dog and was yanked back before he could reach the petrified owner and dog that walked by. If ever there was a time the line could have broken, that was it. That was his first time on the cable. He hasn't run at anyone or anything ever since.

I am happy to report that this leash might finally be the one that my dog cannot bite through! We have gone through 10 cloth leashes since June.So far so good!!! AND it is very affordable. Give it a try...it works.Update: Just bought a second leash to leave in my car. My dog did try to bite through the leash but "gave up!"This leash has solved my problems with my dog.

EDIT-,We put him out on the last of these leads we have this morning (August 14, 2020) and within an HOUR, it had come unclipped from his collar. For the third time since we received these leads on August 5 that we have had to chase him around the neighborhood. I bought some leads from the grocery store until we can find a half-decent lead. I’m convinced the positive reviews must be paid ads. This lead in the photo was used for just THREE DAYS. Three days of putting our 50lb husky out to get some exercise for a few hours a couple times a day. The plastic sheathing immediately started to come off, and the metal underneath appears to have rusted and snapped. Also, the clip does NOT hold up to movement; we bought several of these not long ago and he has either broken the lead or somehow became unclipped from either his collar or the post. This is supposed to hold dogs much larger than ours, and each one has failed within a couple weeks. Each lead has put our dog at risk. We will not be buying again and I wish I could personally contact them about this.

I've had this for over a month now attached to my porch its held up to a 5 year old 97 ib Great Pyrenees very well (she has always been supervised while outside). Its been in the rain, ice and snow many times with no problems. I do enjoy that the clasps are both a clip and a twist closure to provide extra security.. No complains here other and I expected it to be a bit long but thats more on me than the product.

I ended up returning the product because the clips are not swivels and became a bit of a choking bazaars for my dog. Seller was very understanding.

This product did exactly what they said it wouldn’t. The coating cracked in multiple places after 3 months and then the cable kinked in many places. My dog is 100lbs that’s not even half the rated weight. I would not purchase this item again.

I have a 95lb dog and thought this was a tie down that would not break, like many others have in the past. Used this one twice and he managed to break away. Luckily he is a good boy and didn’t hurt anyone, or there pets.Would not recommend for people with large dogs.

Got our border collie/grand pyrenee puppy this leash and it’s great to have such long space for her to roam around. One end of the leash has started rusting as she tried to chew through it. Other than that, it’s sturdy and does the job!

At first thought the carabiner setup was confusing and overkill but using it 5 times a day with my 40lb collie lab mix, and she's a strong puller, I couldn't be happier.
