Just arrived this week. Its beautiful beyond expectations.The watch is much better looking in real life. A very good balance between style and showing off the awesome working mechanisms. It is designed and made so well, if you like precision, you will love this. At first I was not sure how readable the hand would be because of the open face, but this turns out to be just fine. There is a small wheel bouncing below the "12", like a small pounding heart (hence open heart?) it is very well done. Its a small machine, powered by your movement. Hard to explain what a cool experience that is, you will get it if you have one.The watch is a 100% time keeping mechanism, no distractions like chrono or alarm (I do not think you will use that anyway if you have a smartphone). Also has no date (hard to find a perpetual calendar in automatic anyway). Instead every cent is spend on great components; it has 25 synthetic jewels (used for bearings on the moving parts) and fantastic high grade mechanism components. The case is much thinner than the Tissot watches I was also considering. The design is more retro/art-deco style, but not old fashioned; I would even go that far as calling it timeless.Some general remarks wrt automatic watches:This is my first automatic movement watch; it has no battery (quartz) as sometimes wrongfully shown on Amazon. The watch is completely mechanical powered; with a spring that is wound during wearing. If you put your watch off for a weekend (e.g. when you are going on a trip outdoors), you will have to wind (give it a shake) and set it when you get home. Quartz is easier in use and probably slightly more accurate (I would not be able to tell you the difference on accuracy yet), but you would have to replace the battery at a certain point. There are stories on the internet that automatic watches are less shock resistant (playing golf), I also read stories of people that say its no problem at all. An automatic watch has a certain feeling to it that is hard to catch in words, but for me it completely outweighs the benefits of going quartz.

The Hamilton Jazzmaster series is, in my opinion, one of the best affordable Swiss watch lines in existence today. The Jazzmaster open heart is a classy, elegant, and versatile watch. For every day use, it can dress up whatever you're wearing, and it's equally suitable for formal occasions. The silver dial with gold accents and leather band make a great combination. The rose gold highlights really make this watch stand out, and the cut away design is eye catching. If all you need is one fine yet affordable time piece, this could be the one. I personally don't worry too much about dates and other features, so I appreciate the simplicity of design. The size is just right. Another reviewer felt it was big, but compared to the whole scheme of case sizes available, 40mm seems just right to me. It's not a dainty 35-37 mm case like a Skagen or smaller Seiko, but it certainly doesn't feel like a wall clock strapped to my wrist like some of these 44-46 mm's do either. Mine worked great right out of the box, and keeps good time. They're sensible purchases for those who want more than what you get from the usual departments store offerings (which can be fine too), but who don't want to spend obscene amounts for a Swiss made watch.

This is my second Hamilton. These are fantastic watches. They look really sharp and keep great time. I have a few watches that cost twice as much and I am convinced that the Hamilton’s look better and have better craftsmanship. This one specifically has a great skeleton look with the visible gears. It’s unique enough to catch other people’s eye but not too flashy or obnoxious like you are trying to make a statement. I can not recommend highly enough.

This is probably one of my favorite watches. It is really good looking, light and it receives enough compliments. My only problem is the fact that sometimes is not as easy to read as other watches I have. Probably will buy other Hamilton watches in the future, you can tell they are well made and they have great value.

Bought it from watchsavings sent by jomashop. I really love the watch, very beautiful wanted to give it 5 stars but after 1 week the leather bracelet got scratched in some small points without any reason, the watch being weared always under the shirt. Kind of dissapointing for such an expensive watch to have a low quality bracelet...UPDATE: Taking another star off. Although the watch keeps very accurate time and is amazing the leather strap is rubbish. It started to become heavily damaged being weared for less than 1month just in the office. Considering the price of the watch and the price of the strap if you want to buy it alone , they could have done a better job. The watch was bought from Jomashop.

I'm so happy with this purchase. The watch arrived with all its packaging and manuals. It's a beauty. It's a bit difficult to tell the exact time sometimes but I still love it. The leather band is holding up nicely too--it's often submerged under running water and I've had not trouble with it. It all feels like a good value.
