At a German trade fair in 1909, Adolf Ahlgren—a wholesaler from Gävle, Sweden—discovered an intriguing cough drop that was sold in German pharmacies. Soon after, the first Läkerol pastilles were introduced. By persuading royalty, Nobel Prize winners, politicians, and singers to extol the benefits of Läkerol, Ahlgren enabled his fledgling product to develop a strong following. The well-known "A" on the pastilles and packages stands not only as a mark of quality, but as a tribute to Läkerol's founder and the idea he championed: encouraging everyone to express themselves and make their voices heard.

Addictive, But Too Expensive!
So delicious, but so expensive! Wish they were not so costly so I could order these delights on a regular basis. I have not had much self-discipline with these pastilles and been enjoying about four boxed a day! But I cannot afford this addiction. Sadly, I will need to choose another Sugar-free candy that will not make me go bankrupt. Delish! Excellent delivery and packaging!

Hooked on Lakerol!
I never liked gum! I'd chew it for about 5 minutes until the flavor was all gone and that would be it. So I'm not a gum chewer, and not much on hard candies, either. Then I discovered Lakerol! A cross between gum and candy, and the flavor is great and lasts. The perfect confection! Wish they weren't quite so pricey, but a case lasts me almost a year. And while there are different flavors, and I've tried most of them, I'm stuck on the original - and never tire of it. Just the perfect, refreshing chew at work, while driving, etc. - and freshens the breath a bit, too. Thanks Lakerol!

I am in love with Lakerol
I have had a love affair with Lakerol for many years. I use if for coughs, for "after coffee breath", before choral practice and just because I love European style licorice. For years I was able to buy it in a few small retail stores in the midwest and at Cost Plus World Market, but the supplies continued to diminish until I couldn't find it anywhere except in "variety" packs (yuck) at Ikea. I was delighted to find it and the red packaging form on Amazon and order several times each year. It isn't the least expensive thing, but I consider it worth the price.

Singer cough drops
Discovered these gems in the 1970's in Germany, and have searched and fed my addiction every since. Used to have these imported from Sweden, then bought at IKEA, but this is very convenient and competitively priced. Small enough to stick on the roof of your mouth while singing. Soothing and effective.

ONE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS!!!
It's a product introduced to me many years ago when visiting Grapevine,Texas. Had to write to Sweden to find where to purchase.Since Amazon sells everything, decided to look it up! I am never without a box in my bag!!

Love it!
I love these licorice drops. I could eat a box a day. I did check with my doctor who cautioned me on eating too much because of health issues with licorice. I still can't stay away from them!

Delicious
I love these little licorices. These are super menthol-y unlike the red box version. These are kind of like the original Gajul licorices. A little on the expensive side but a treat for sure.
