Better than original.
Can’t believe the difference in how it chews through the dirt now.

As described
Fit fine. 5.0 work horse, about 40 years old. Sturdy. Running good with them. Troybilt wanted $275 and $66 to ship.

Perfect
Fit our older horse Troybilt no problem.

Not for 11hp Big horse
These tines are a couple inches too short for the Troy Bilt 11hp Big Horse. They seem like they would be fine replacements for smaller machines perhaps.

Work just fine
All tines and hardware installed with no adjustments such as filing or grinding. I installed them on a 40 year old 8 HP Horse Model with cast iron hubs to hold the tines. You must pay close attention to the proper assemble of each "gang of tines" that use two right hand and two left hand tines. I have the original owners manual that give step by step instructions with photos. Basically remove just one bolt from each existing gang and loosen the other three bolts with WD-40. Now remove the "gang of tine" and replace the single bolt that you removed place it on the ground under the cast iron hub so you know exactly what the location was. Do this with all four "gangs" Using the new tines and hardware,(the supplied bolts were fine and not too short as noted by other reviews) assembly four new sets of "gang tines" and install on cast iron hubs. Remember the tines turn in the same direction as the wheels and all cutting edges of tines should be facing the front of the tiller just as they enter the soil. So fare all tines work just fine, like new.

Dont buy them,...
They were a pain to install, had to grind and drill out hole. next time I will buy troy built tines.

Tines are fine, but bolts are too short.
The tine set was shipped directly and quickly (~3 days) from Stens. The tines are the three hole variety and seem (?) to be of good quality. Each of the provided bolts (32 total) is, however, about 1/4" shorter than the original bolts and is too short to be used with a lock washer. I chose to install the new tines using the old, original bolts. Although this is not functionally a really big deal because the original bolts show little wear, I expected somewhat better control of quality. New tines dramatically improve the perfomance of a ten year old tiller, and overall I am satisfied with this purchase.

brought life back to my pony
I inherited an older troy built pony after my grandfather passed away. The tines on it were worn badly. The troy built replacements I found were almost 15 dollars a piece. This was defiantly a better option. The required a little modification to fit and the extra bolt holes worry me about strength. But have worked great for the first season.
