When you need a lightweight knife, this works
I purchased this knife primarily for one reason - it's light weight. It is the only knife that I have ever attempted to use with gym shorts successfully. It works, without my shorts falling or sagging down, and the blade itself is very sharp and solid enough. The axis lock is sturdy, although some people have complained that it fails over time if you open and close the knife frequently. I just avoid doing that, as this is a highly specialized knife for my particular purpose. I wouldn't choose to carry it EDC, when wearing regular pants, as there would be no need (for me) to go that light.

Great EDC kinfe
I really like the smaller weight and size of this knife. It is a little flimsy. We'll see how it turns out. Wouldn't be my first choice for camping, but happy with it for EDC.

The older model sucks !
The Bailout looked like a good knife. However mine was a dud, the axis lock was the issue. I can't and won't recommend this knife. The newer version with the aluminum scales is far better, than the previous model.

Light On Weight, But Heavy On The Pass
Purchased this for when I have my extremely lightweight running shorts on. In that vein it actually works well. It clips to the pocket without pulling down the shorts. I can barely tell the knife is in my pocket at all, and I find myself periodically checking to see if it’s still there. So in that sense it’s great, but it comes at the price of quality. Don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t feel like it would easily break, it just feels cheap. For the price, it does not feel like a premium knife at all.I think if they sacrificed a bit of weight reduction, and gave the knife G10 scales it would have been a triumph. But instead it leaves something to be desired. For some, after-market scales will remedy it. In that case Rockscale Design has titanium scales in grey, Rogue Bladeworks has scales in carbon fiber (black) and will be releasing titanium (grey) shortly, Blade Scales has them in G10 (various colors) and Canvas Micarta (green) but the grooved design might be undesirable and only the G10 is in black. Please note, adding after-market scales will void your warranty.Personally, I can’t recommend spending this much on a knife that feels this cheap. Hopefully future editions will remedy it without users voiding warranties. In any case, until I can get black scales in aluminum or titanium, this is a hard pass for me, and the knife is reduced to being just “okay” when it could’ve been great. I’ll stick to my Benchmade Nimravus, Crooked River, and Anthem until something worthwhile happens.

The Bugout knife gone tanto
I friggin love this knife! I'm a huge Benchmade fan. Most of my knives are from BM. The Bailout is like the tanto version of the Bugout, another fav of mine. This knife is just as lightweight as the Bugout but longer blade length and in tanto. Plus the butt has a loop for keychains and paracord tags. And the blade color is bada$$ too, charcoal in color.

Powerful 2 ounce knife
Don’t let any reviews saying this knife feels cheap deter you from getting this knife, they obviously forget that this is a 2 ounce knife!Incredibly powerful utility in such a lightweight package, one of my go to’s in EDC
