Just Like My Uncle Steve Used to Make!
I am so glad to have found this unique book. The recipes in it are a great addition to my collection. Who knew there were so many ways to prepare freshwater fish? I remember going fishing with my Uncle Steve in Tennessee and coming home and frying up our catch right away. It was always so delicious. Now that I am grown, I still prefer freshly caught fish to anything you can buy at the store. These recipes are coming with us on every camping trip we take from now on. The ingredients are easy to find (many are on hand most of the time) and the dishes are easy to prepare. One thing I would have liked to have seen is what to serve to accompany each kind of fish, as this is sometimes the hardest part for me. But all in all, this book deserves all 5 stars. One last thing. The Buttermilk Marinated Fried Catfish reminded me of the catfish my mother used to prepare. Nobody could cook like her. She passed away in October, but I think even she would have liked to have tried some of these recipes.

Excellent
Can I borrow some fisherman. The fisherman in my family got too tired. This book makes my mouth water just to read the recipes. I am on a treasure hunt to find the fish in the market in this part of the country. Wish I had found it years ago when almost everyone of these fish where to be had in the local waters. Worth your time and money.

Yay! It's in Paperback, too!
After reading through this cookbook from cover to cover with my mouth literally watering the whole time, my thought was--how am I going to take this fishing with me? And then I saw it! A paperback edition! Thank you, George--you seriously answered a private wish that I wouldn't have to get my kindle all slimy trying to cook in the wild. Thanks for a great book.
