Accurate description/ good condition/ great price
The book arrived in good condition. The description the seller gave was accurate. Pricing was fair and conducive to description.

Like the book, but where's my access code???
I really like the book, it is easy to read and understand. Most of the chapters don't seem excruciatingly long, and the book can either be purchased as a single book, or in two volumes. My only issue is more with the seller than the book itself. The book was supposed to be new, however, it did not come with a code to access the online material. To purchase a code from the site would cost $70, but inside the book it clearly states that access is free with purchase of the book. I would recommend purchasing from the publisher or school bookstore.

Not necessary
This was one of the most expensive textbooks I have ever had to purchase, and because it is so ungodly heavy I have used it for various utilities (propping up my tablet, flattening papers, a counterbalance to a drawer, holding the door to the patio open, etc)However, I am half way done with nursing school and have read it but never felt I benefited from it. I wouldn't buy it unless your profs really test from it. In my experience, ATI and lecture notes are superior.

Good Textbook
This book is good if you have time to read. It information is very good, but its very condense. I wish it was more organize in the signs and symptoms of each disease and more specific to the nursing interventions. Overall, the book comes in two volumes and it is sort of heavy if you have to carry both volumes. It is a good nursing textbook if one had the time to read it.

Two vs.One
I read a few reviews that were like "two volumes is so convenient as opposed to having one giant, heavy book!" But for me, personally, it was frustrating when my class referenced pages in volume one as well as volume two. So I still had to carry around both books at the same time. Nothing wrong with the book itself just wanted to point that out for students.

Nice, updated version.
I have both the 7th and 8th edition. The changes are not major, but I think the 8th edition is organized a bit better and it has a more clean appearance to it. There are more nursing alerts and nursing priority boxes throughout the text, making the more important stuff easier to find. The overall text is about the same. The benefits of the easier to read charts, and more alerts makes the upgrade worth it.

If you nursing program is like mine, then likely the first few chapters are ...
If you have the choice, totally get the 2-volume set! It's split roughly into equal sections so it makes carrying a probably already heavy backpack that much nicer. Chapters are actually organized fairly well. If you nursing program is like mine, then likely the first few chapters are pretty much filler for stuff in your fundamentals of nursing course. It does a fairly good job of refreshing your basic A&P stuff in each chapter of the body systems which, at least for me, was helpful since my anatomy/physiology was never that great.

Nicely detail book. Pretty good explainations. Great learning tool for beginner nurses or to revise things you have forgotten
