Just what you need
Open the package, open your trunk. Snap it in, close the trunk. No drama. Every repair should be this easy.Update: I recently purchased a second strut for my 2009 Focus SES, the original on the other side failed. Failure means the lower fitting breaks and the end of the strut punches through the tail light housing when the trunk lid is closed.Note: Although Amazon lists this for the 2005-2007 Focus, every other reference shows the STRONGARM Part # 6436 as correct for the 2009.

Did not fit. Wrong part.
Even though Amazon confirmed the fit at the top of the product page, it was the wrong part for my 2004 Ford Focus Wagon.

Works well for about 5 months now
I am happy with it. It is holding the hatch up on my 2005 focus. I lived with the old shocks after they wore out for about 4 years. I'm soooo cheap. I used a large stick I found in the forest to hold my door up throughout this time. Then I got sick of it one day and bought these. No regrets.

Does not fit
This item way to short for the 2007 Ford Focus. It does not fit. The original is about twice the length of this lift support.
