Lovely
It was a lovely addition to my library, except that it was packed loose in a box and was damaged in shipping. Returned.

Terrific Overview of Hand Wrought Leather Work
Daniel Lees has assembled a breathtaking collection of American Arts & Crafts leatherwork that will educate and inspire a new generation of collectors and historians interested in this unique and progressive period of American history. If you are interested in women's history, art commercialization, economic development, or American history from a regional perspective, this book is an invaluable addition to your library. The photos are superlative and he features many never-before-photographed or exhibited treasures from private collections, coupled with insightful research and commentary. Hats off to Schiffer Publishing too--the printing quality and photographic detail is on par with art volumes that cost hundreds of dollars and this book represents a new level of upscale, sophisticated publishing for the company. The Amazon price is a steal and absolutely no library or collector should be without this book. It will help the novice to the experienced collector understand the movement and appreciate the beauty of hand wrought, artistic leather from the Arts & Crafts period.

A Catalogue raisonné of Arts and Crafts Movement Leather Work
This is a book that has been needed by scholars and collectors alike for many years. A real" Catalogue raisonné" of the many arts and crafts Men and Women who designed some of the most beautiful items of the Arts and Crafts Era. This will now be the guidebook for the collectors as well as the Bungalow owners who choose to decorate properly with their fine furniture and pottery and copper work.100's of wonderful full color photographs , most never seen before in print. Also the regional focus is very helpful to the Collectors and Museum Curators alike.

Informative and Beautifully Photographed
This is a great book on the leather-work of the Arts & Crafts period. Not only is the book informative but the photographs are exquisite. Prior to this book there were only brief mentions in other books about the leather craft from the Arts & Crafts period. This is a must for collectors and those curious about another piece of Arts & Crafts history and craftsmanship. Many volumes exist on the furniture and pottery of this period it is a welcome addition to those guides and a great reference on its own.
