Worked Great! We installed with two remote KCA-RC55MR units to our KMRD765BT. Ran one extension cable from the head unit to the location of the first remote. Plugged in the extension cable directly to the remote and used the other two ends for the head unit and then connected another extension cable to the "y" to get to the transom. This layout of the cables worked great and is actually the layout that comes in the manual with the remote units. (i.e. you don't plug this into the back of head unit, just the extension cable).

Works as advertised.One thing that is hard to locate is how to sync the new remotes. Turn the source on the kenwood to standby and turn the dial to you get to "rem" and press. Then select one of the empty remote slots and press the dial again. Then goto your remote and press enter to sync it. You have to do this for every remote.

Work great on boat have two remote on boat

Your going to get a Kenwood Y adapter. Not a polyplanar speaker. Save yourself the trouble and don't order this item.Turns out it was a clerical error in how it was posted for sale. I will give this company another try based on their honesty and communication about the problem.

if you are buying the kts-100mr wired remote do not buy the ca-y107mr it does not fit. Amazon has a quick link of people that also bought the kts-rc100mr also bought the ca-y107mr. why i do not know it does not fit.

Bought to add an additional remote to a Kenwood stereo in my RV. Wouldn't work. Glad I tested prior to cutting another hole for the remote. Read through all the material (for all parts). Nothing helped.
