Critical Thinking Activities in Patterns, Imagery & Logic / Grades 4-6 (Blackline Masters)

I use this in our home school. I like that the book is divided into three sections: 1. Patterns, 2. Imagery, and 3. Logic. Each section is then divided into sections by stars- 1 star being easier, 2 middle, and 3 hardest. You really could use the book over three years (doing a page per week) and have 4th grade do 1 stars, 5th 2, etc. I like books that are flexible like that. Another boon is that answers are in the back of the book. The price does seem high, but considering we use it over two years, and it could be used over three, I think it's a great value. I have used several other critical thinking books over the years, and this is my favorite.

I am a teacher. I use these for morning work in my fifth grade gifted classroom, and my kids love them. I also used them in a third grade gifted room. I like the work is leveled by difficulty and grouped together. I mix them up, so the students do patterns, then imagery, then logic, repeat. I've also shared this resource with general ed teachers who have found that it helps get their students thinking in a new way.Morning work my kids look forward to doing? What a treat! Highly recommended.

Very nice and helpful critical activity book for kids 8-10 years. The activities included are fun, creative and educational. Excellent book for young kids who enjoy extra set of brain work after school.

My son is in 2nd grade in Gifted class, he can do most activities in this book, but they make him think!!! This book is a great workout for the brain!!! Kind of challenging for 2nd grader)))) but it is fun!

An excellent tool for developing critical thinking skills. If you can find one, snap it up!
