The Thermos brand cup on the left, green, is over 10 years old and has probably been in 35 out of 50 states. Looking at the photo, you can see where the rim of the green cup lid has worn through and started to leak.I started looking for a replacement and stumbled over a "knock-off" Thermos type cup. For all intents and purposes, it is an almost identical copy of the old, irreplaceable Thermos brand. Just the lid is styled differently. The red cup is also 12 oz. It performs as well as the old green one.The added bonus is that new lid fits the old green cup too. It attaches with a nice tight "snap" and needs a little effort to remove. No leaks at all. The lid doesn't snap on the new red one but, it too does not leak.Both cups keep coffee hot for about half an hour before starting to become warm.The only "con" is that the long handle keeps the cup from fitting into some holders.I love the style and performance.

I have 4 of these, and they keep coffee hot, they are just the right size, they last forever, and they fit nicely into my car cup holder. They also survive the dishwasher with no problem. I highly recommend them, I have thrown all my other insulated mugs away, none of them are nearly as good as this. Also, you can re-heat your coffee in the microwave, there are no metal parts in these mugs. AND they are inexpensive too! What is not to like?

I've been using these for a while, and still happy I got 'em. They fit in my nukamatic microwavery box, that was very important since I reheat cold coffee. For this price, I didn't expect more insulation than the air space between inner and outer walls. I fixed that tho, drilled two small holes at bottom and two near top, then filled the air space with spray can expanding foam. Filled from bottom on opposite sides, then watched small holes near top to see the foam extrude, thus the inner space was full of foamy goodness. Neatly trimmed the excess foam, then resealed it with a little silicone. Simple process, and the result was as expected. The one that's foamed holds heat over twice as long as the other one, so I did that one too. I imagine that adding foam insulation between inner and outer walls would add some complexity to the manufacturing process, thus making these spendier. I don't mind DIY upgrades, turned out neat and effective. Doing it myself, I'm sure the entire space betwixt inner and outer is full of expandofoam goodness. Mine were well-made. Easy to hold, light weight. The seal between inner and outer walls was complete. They arrived clean and plastic-wrapped. There were no weird tastes added to my hot coffee. The hole in the top to drink from is properly placed when the thumb tab is over the handle. Easy for this oldphart to open. Lid snaps on securely. I'll definitely buy these again. I gave these mugs four stars. This is my typical high rating, the fifth star is reserved for those things that exceed my expectations in some manner. I'm not related to or employed by any maker or seller, nor do I accept any freebies. I buy stuff and rate it, real simple, no BS or hyperbole.

These are perfect for us - not too big, not too small, microwaveable thermal mugs! Don't know why there are SO many stainless steel mugs that you cannot put in the microwave. We re-heat our cool coffee several times a day, and these hold the heat well, too.

These mugs are great for home use when used without the lid. They keep liquids hot or cold longer than in an ordinary container.Yesterday, I used the red mug with coffee in my car for the first and last time. First, the mug wouldn't fit the beverage holder in my 2003 Toyota. Secondly, when drinking, the coffee leaked around the rim, where the lid makes contact with the mug, and onto my shirt. I plan to try the green mug in the near future, and am hoping for at least one non-leaking mug. I'll edit this post when I do.UPDATE 10/05/2012: The green mug leaks as well.

These are great, keeps coffee warmer thank my glass mugs but not for a long long time . They are handy and easy to hold . The kids is a little trickery but you have to hit the top of it to get it on. It’s a good product and I’m happy with them .

Well I just got my mugs today, this style of mug is so hard to find anymore and I have been using my old one for the past 15 years because of that reason. My old one was an Aladdin, I can't find them anymore. I bought these because they closely resemble the Aladdin mug. Sadly I am not happy. The red mug is fine but there are very noticeable flaws/deep scuff in the green mug and for this price it is disappointing to see such poor workmanship. I cant really blame the seller for this I think this probably happened at the manufacturer. I am tempted to send them back but like I said the red mug was fine, the problem is with the green mug and I cannot find a way to get a replacement of just one of the mugs plus it took so long to get these so I don't know if I should bother. I will add that I was happy to see these were made in the USA but It is really sad that I have to say that I have bought better quality items that were made elsewhere.
