Fit as expected, well made
These boots were bought strictly for the many hiking trips I go on with my sons. I have often worn trail sneakers as I have not had joint trouble and don't often hike trials that I need to worry about water or ankle support. However, my body is getting older and the trails more advanced. I did some research that led me to these Oboz hikers. I have been wearing them some daily to break them in and took them for a few miles on the trail. I wear a solid mens US9.5 in nearly everything, without fail, yet I fear buying shoes online because of fit issues. The Oboz 9.5 mens normal width fits me like it was made for me. The boot hugs the foot and ankle very well. There is a lot between your foot and the ground surface, so no issue there. Good tread, solid make. I like these boots!

Best Boot for hiking. I mean best
For hiking this boot just can't be beat. I have hiking muddy wet Appalachain trail and the dusty rocky Grand Canyon trails with these things! They dont slip or faulter on smooth rock faces. They are supportive around the ankle and the rest of the foot. You dont feel individual rocks, stones or sticks from thw bottom when walking. I have very hot sweaty feet but even in the mid summer humidity of the east I dont have a problem with my feet getting overly hot or sweaty. They hold your foot like a comfortable glove and dont let your foot slide around. The toe box is larger so your toes dont get smashed from the front during descents.I wear these for work (construction), yard work, hiking, basically anything.Ive worn all brands hiking boots. Adidas, salomon, etc. And these are the best. The only downside is they dont look the greatest but its functionality over aesthetics. These are a little tough, not overly inconvenient, getting on and off od your feet but its because they hold your foot so well.

Nice fitting, supportive, quality hiking shoe.
Great hiking shoes. I bought them solely for hiking and have not been disappointed yet. My wife had a pair for 4 years and they're still water tight, the tread on hers has just started to separate at the toe (after 4+ years, can't complain).I've got about 40 trail miles on these so far this year, they're comfortable and supportive, but do require some breaking in, almost like a boot would. The tread, traction and water tightness are great.I normally wear between an 12 and a 12.5 mens, I got these in a 12 originally and they were a little snug in the toe area (may have been okay for casual use, but not down hill hiking) the 13 fit much better.Nice shoe, seems like it's quality made, hope to get at least 3-4 years of hiking out of them, if not, I will follow up on this review.

Nice boot but very narrow fit.
Very nice and well-made hiking boot. Beware they are made more narrow than any other I have had i.e., Salomon, Lowa, Keen just to name a few I have experience with. They were also a little shorter. I wear an 11D in almost everything. I did have to get an 11.5D in one pair of Lowa's. I had to return this pair for an 11.5D and they still were almost too narrow. I can't wear a wide in anything because they are always too wide for me in the heel. Most reviews said these were true to size, but not for me. I would recommend them but if you have a wider foot I would probably get at least a half size bigger and in a wide(E) or extra wide(EE) width.

Ugly af but great boots... and theyre ACTUALLY waterproof
Had em one week so far a d theyre great. Multiple job sites and climates a d theyve held their own. No snow, water, or mud has gotten to the socks, plus theyre comfy as hell from day one. Ugliest things ive ever put on my feet but i love em. Will update after winter. Update. Ive worn these in mud pits down south, while running through the oilfields in texas and for the past three weeks in heavy snow and really low temp while working on my trucks outside and they've held up to everything thrown at them. My feet got cold after about 1. 5 hours in -4Β° weather but the slush and snow and water don't get through to the socks and i haven't slipped as much on ice as i did last year in my timberland boots. Definitely a great buy

Loving it so far...
I have been hiking the ADK 46 with the wife. I have been using the Merrel Moab(?). Started thinking I wasn't getting the protection and support I need to get through a tougher more technical hike. Started looking around and found this company. I saw the boot in a store and decided to try it out. I have been wearing around the house and yard so far and I love wearing them. Very comfortable and supportive. I see that some I have said they needed a break in period however I feel like I could go on a hike right now with them.I will follow up after doing one of the tougher hikes in the ADK on July 19th.

Outstanding Hiking/Trekking Boots
I've been searching for a good rugged boot for hiking and trekking that would stand up to the elements and abuse on difficult trails. Oboz Sawtooth Mid BDRY Hiking Boots not only take on difficult trails with ease, they are the most comfortable yet firm/sturdy boots I have worn. The arch support is awesome, and grip is amazing. The sizing was spot-on ...I wear 10.5 EE and purchased the 11 since they did not come in wide widths, the 11s are perfect. In the past I have always added my own insoles so all the boots I've owned to help with comfort, padding and moisture control. You don't need to add insoles to these, they are comfortable right our of the box. Break-in took about 2-3 days. Break them in with good merino wool socks and your feet will be happy! I wear these everyday now.

Great boots
I normally wear a 10.5 but often buy hiking boots in 11. My first pair of Oboz lasted 3yrs. They were the Yellowstone line I believe. The only thing that wore out was the heel of the boot typical of how I wear out all my shoes. I do mostly around town, day hikes, festivals in these. They feel great. With a thin sock I have to lace up tighter but the size allows for a thicker sock to be worn that will work in cooler weather if and when I venture outside of FL. Very well constructed. Made in Vietnam.

Good solid boot.
Excellent boot. Nice looking and very comfortable. Sole does take some walking to break in. I found ankle fit superb but slightly too roomy in toe box for me. Im size 12 but could maybe have done with 1/2 size smaller.Waterproofing seems excellent too. Good all round boot.

Great fit. Size10 Uk is size 10 Uk
Great fit, this is my first online shoe order and was worried that they may be small as shoe sizing is a sketchy area. In the past Iβve had Scarpa boots which are always small sized. These had great reviews and at a good price. They do require a few short walks to loosen them up, while the heel counter is narrow and secure to stop lift, the toe box is roomier but not slack. Laces are a little fiddly as the fabric loops grip the lace well. Itβs still early days so only time will tell on longevity but first impressions are good.

So far so good
Been a long time Salomon user but lately I find their quality has gone down hill and boots start to leak very quickly. These Oboz seem fab so far ( to early to tell how long they will remain waterproof for)They initially took some time to wear in but now they are very comfortable. The footbed in them is also of very good quality
