The media could not be loaded. This hammer drill is amazing. I had 40 year old thick terra Cotta time with so much thinset directly on the concrete slab.Will make your whole body shake but SO much better than any other method.It's held up great.

This tool saved me a lot of time and effort
I am using this tool to attach 2 x 6s to brick as the framework to install new overhead garage doors. I started out using my 18 volt cordless drills with regular masonry bits. Because of the load of trying to drill 3 inches deep in brick I used up the charge in 2 batteries for 1 hole. Realizing I had at least 20 more holes to go I looked up hammer drills. I have several Metabo tools and they have served me quite well so I ordered this drill. Amazons site said next day shipping, there was some problem in transit but it did come the next day in perfect condition. The previous day using the cordless drill counting batteries going dead it took me over half an hour for 1 hole. With the new Metabo hammer drill I did 5 3/8 holes 3 1/2 inches deep in less than 3 minutes. Totally pleased with this tool, it came in a nice case and my only regret is that I didn't buy one of these years ago!

I think so far it’s a very good purchase. I also purchased a sds plus drill chuck so I could use as a mixing drill..buy the keyed chuck it’s better not keyless..awesome tool!

If you need one..
I am a concrete cutting operator and I purchased the metabo hpt rotary hammer so I could drill continues amounts of 5/8 and 1/2 holes go anchoring. I can say I have had this thing flung into puddles of slurry and water and dust and dropped out of a 2nd story window (on accident)... It still holds up like a champ. I can personally recommend for someone who needs continuous use as well as major durability factors that this may be the tool for you. The only other comparable one for the value and durability would be the DeWalt, and that's even a toss up since I've had the same versions of the D-handle DeWalt and still choose my metabo.Choose wisely
