Perfect fit for an old Furman SPB-8C ABS Pedalboard Case!
I have been looking for a suitable replacement telescoping handle for an old Furman SPB-8C guitar pedalboard case. Unfortunately, Furman has long-disontinued these pedalboards and no longer are able to support these products with any replacement parts.That said, I FINALLY located a telescoping handle which is as close to an exact OEM for as is possible anymore! The only requirement is that the lower cross member support section must be removed. This was super easy to accomplish, as they provide a Phillips screwdriver with the handle. Remove 2 scre8, slip off the plastic cross member and it's ready to be installed inside the channels molded into the case lid. This unit fits absolutely perfectly! Even the upper (exposed) mount holes are the exact dimensions as the original!I have not yet messed with the distal end of the telescoping rods, as the originals had small pop rivets securing them to the inside lid surface.Very happy to have found a good quality replacement handle for my case!

Broke on first use
The handle extension came apart on the very first use in the airport. Unfortunately this happened after the warranty period expired. Waste of $$ and I would not recommend.

New life for my suitcase - required modifications
I wish things like this were easier to replace... but I live on the planet earth and repairing things runs counter to our current mindset. This product matched it's specification, seems quite sturdy, and most importantly, it WORKED! It has breathed new life into my Atlantic 2-wheel carry-on that has been traveling the world for the last 15 years (pre-takeover by travelpro) after one of my handle's snapped in half. It took a hacksaw, determination, and a bit of finagling but my beautiful suitcase is ready for another 15 years. (The wheels have long since been upgraded to rollerblade wheels).This came with a flimsy screwdriver. I appreciate the gesture but I think it's unnecessary and wasteful - anyone able to replace their suitcase handle will hopefully already have a screwdriver and the knowall to use it.

Great addition for rolling belongings
Pretty sturdy. Add this handle along with luggage trolly wheels to my bass guitar cabinet. Also added mirror clips for added support.
