Amrapur Overseas | Anastacia Pearl 8-Piece Comforter Set (White, King)

I was very happy to find this comforter set on Amazon and at a awesome price. I'd purchased it twice before from JCP in years past but they no longer sell it. It was time for a new one and was pleasantly surprised to find it on Amazon. It's the perfect summer comforter set. It's medium weight, ruffled and girly. It makes my bed look like cotton candy. Make sure when you wash the bedskirt not to put it in the dryer. The part that goes beneath the mattress won't stand up to the heat and will melt. I learned that lesson the hard way twice before.

This comforter is very light weight but the material is scratchy and hot. Looks very pretty in photo but looks cheap in person. The color is more of a “dirty white “ not pearl. The shams do need to be removed prior to using the pillow enclosed in it unless you enjoy heated and scratchy pillow cases. I did was all items prior to use, with fabric softener and it made no difference. Even though there is a cotton layer on the underside and I am a cold sleeper, this made me sweat. I used a sheet and blanket under without the comforter and have since purchased another and this set is zipped back up and clean and will be donated or given away. Extremely disappointed . It looks so pretty but was not as seemed.☹️

This bedding is really nice for the price. I did steam it to get out all the wrinkles on the the pillows, skirt and comforter. Once wrinkle free and the ruffles were stretch to fluff, it looked beautiful on the bed.

It is beautiful. It's not Matt it has a shiny finish to it but that what I wanted. The only downfall if it get on snag in it, it will spread. It is thick and well made

OK so to be fair, this set looks OK only because of all of the pieces included. Matchy-Matchy anyone?The reality is that the pearl white color looks nothing like what you see. The illusion that it's this soft fluffy cotton is grossly overstated. It's actually some form of tulle. Like a satin. Shiny, tacky and no fluff at all.On my bed though, in photos, it looks ok. I credit that mostly to my decor and addrd pillows from another set.It's not at all comfortable or even capable of keeping one warm. But for the $35 I paid. I can't complain too much. Do not however, pay more. It's not worth it.

I love this set!! I just wish it was cotton because it is not very soft. Overall-good deal.

I love the ruffles on the entire set. They look detailed and expensive but is a great value. The ruffles flow—they are not sewn down. Love it!

Material is AWFUL! Rough, stringy, shiny, scratchy, cheap 80s nightmare material, in fact. What appear to be soft, flowing ruffles in the pic are pleated, permanent ironed in folded nastiness. This material will snag and run if you look at it wrong. I never even took it from the bag to check sizing. There was a cutout in the bag to access the material that was plenty to know I wanted nothing to do with it.
