Great fit for our bully
Our pocket bully is such a fit challenge-- a little dog with a big-dog chest and shoulders. Harnesses that are sized by weight alone are never a success and we were intrigued to find this design specifically for short-snouted dogs.Despite Tyke's diminutive height (he's maybe 15 inches at the shoulder), his chest measurement puts him in a size XL. And I mean he's just barely within the XL range. Having a 28-inch girth, he's at the top limit of the XL harness. With his chest, shoulders and legs as stout as bullies inherently are, I was concerned that the harness might be tight enough to chafe and pinch. But no, the fit is perfect. He has room for free movement in all directions and we may find we can snug it up just a bit as we work with it.The 'X' design at the chest gives his airway clear passage, and it looks pretty cool, too. And we're loving the step-in feature to put it on him.All in all, this is probably the only harness that will fit Tyke well and comfortably. It looks great, it's super easy to get him into and he'll wear it proudly. So glad we bought it!

Trachea problems
So I decided to try to goobey comfort x step in harness because you can adjust it at four points instead of two with the comfort for x over the head. I ordered a medium according to the sizing chart. Peanut is 12lbs with a 17inch chest width. There was a large gab at her chest it was not fitted and it was making her choke because of that.I decided to order this small after talking to goobey customer support extensively and sending pictures while adding as much detail as possible about fitting my peanut girl properly. We got the small and it's truly made a difference. She's coming much less with the fitted small size. She's a hard puller when she's excited. So this is important to me. My girls health is everything! This goobey comfort x step in harness I believe will give her better quality of life. While allowing me to breath a little easier when on walks. The comfort x step in harness is so simple yet affective. It has four straps each adjustable to create the best fit possible. My only complaint would be that they do seem to slip a little when she's been pulling in it. That's not picking because it's very easy to re adjust. It's small with thick enough straps to secure around her.ywt small enough she can easily wear it for periods of time comfortably and she doesn't seem to notice it on. We used to use over the head. They were terrible on her neck. So she's used to that and not stepping in. But she's adjusting to putting her feet in the holes and I feel she will continue to learn to not lift her legs when I'm trying to put it on her.I really couldn't be happier. The goobey was suggested to me by some other dog owners with trachea issues and I'm so glad I listened. Anyone wondering if this harness works. It does. Just make sure it fits correctly.

Works great on small dogs!
Small dogs should not have anything tight around their throats. This works great. I have complete control, but I don't need to worry about putting pressure on her throat. It is light weight and comfortable. It is also very easy to get on and off. She steps in and there is one clip in the back.

Nice harness but size chart is inaccurate
My Crestie mix has an 18" chest measurement behind the legs, which is a medium according to the size chart. Even adjusted as tight as possible, the medium size was huge on my dog. The D rings were too large to accommodate the clip on a leash appropriate to her size. The chest portion of the harness being too big actually caused pressure on my dog's trachea when she pulled.I exchanged the medium for a small, which fits much better (and still has to be tightened quite a bit, so the chart is completely wrong). The D rings are a better size, and the chest portion is more proportate to her frame. She does not have trachea issues when wearing the correct size, which was the whole reason for purchasing this harness. My dog is extremely protective and strains to head off other pedestrians. We're working on her pulling issues, but she's pretty stubborn!Negatives: 1) The buckles are cheap plastic and have to be readjusted frequently because they slide around; 2) The finish on the D rings wears off immediately. At this price point, the parts should be higher quality.Overall I am fairly pleased with the small sized harness and will stick with it unless I find a better alternative.

Great newer style
This harness is a great new style for my 6-pound Russian Toy dog. Easy to adjust for perfect fit. The double D rings over the main clasp give added assurance that this harness will stay on especially in an emergency situation. Provides full range of motion for shoulders and does NOT put unwanted pressure on dog neck area. No more choking when he tries to pull or lunge - he actually behaves better with this harness too.I have trusted Gooby Brand for my tiny breed of dog for proper fit, great quality, durability, and color choices for harnesses, vests and sweaters. Love this new style harness and recommending it to those with tiny breeds of dogs.

Does not choke!
We liked the first one so much we bought a second one. This is the only harness that fits snugly and doesn’t ride up into the throat on my small 15lb dog. It’s very easy to put on the dog and is well constructed. I wouldn’t change anything about it!

Not what I had hoped
I ordered this harness for the X design. My pup has an issue with her throat and cant be on a leash with a regular collar or harness. After checking size I ordered her size and also 2 different harnesses to try on her. Order came and they had sent 2 of the same harness. Also the sizing was big on my pup and the X was not fitting low enough to keep her neck safe. Very disappointed since the pics looked like it would work. I did not return them and will pass them on.

Good fit for small barrel-chested dog
We have a small shihtzu-style dog with a hefty 20+ inch girth. After trying many different harnesses, this one FITS our little Tubby McTubberson. It’s very easy to adjust at both the neck and girth. The leash clip attaches to a set of 2 metal rings for additional security. The material feels soft, padded, and lightweight. The product page has a helpful video showing how to quickly put your dog into the harness.

First harness that enables a cough free walk
Our 2 year old Boston pulls so much on walks he coughs with every harness, we have trialled at least 10-15 different brands. This is the first one to work and bring back freedom to our walks again

Excellent for my pug who recently had airway surgery
I really liked the 'X' shape as my pug had recently had airway surgery. She has recovered well enough to start walking again and I didn't want anything that went over her head and constricted the airway - this harness (and the soft neoprene version) are perfect for her. I bought the Large based on measurements and its a great fit (she is 8yo and a little on the petite side so I'm thinking these are a small fit - in the neoprene one she was a Medium, though). So definitely recommend measuring your dog before picking the size.

Does what I bought it for.
Wierd sizing but bought large but had to shorten the waist strap as it was too long. If I bought the size smaller it would be too short from front to back, then would have rubbed behind the elbow. Otherwise happy with the product as does not choke my dog.

Good design
We have the smaller size of this product and it has lasted for over a year and is still very good, we felt the next size up would fit better for our dog. Great design.
