Excellent book. If you have a interest in grand houses of the Uk, then this is for you. Deals with, through a plethora of pictures and text Friar Park.A similar book from the National Trust would cost double the price.The book is packed with pictures of Friar Park`s gardens and of the house and associated buildings.A must for any fan of the house and gardens is the ordinance survey maps of the area in 1912, looking at the same area on google today shows how the surrounding area has changed.This is a fine book as stated for persons interested in historic country houses, also for fans of the late great George Harrison. You can understand when George stated that when he was working in the grounds he was a different person to when he left.A lovely book, thanks to the people who made it possible.

Bought for someone who lives in Henley and often goes past Frier Park

Excellent photographic history

Just what I have been looking for. All I need to know about Friar Park

I have been praying for a book like this for many many years. I have had a real interest in this house. The pictures are stunning with many I had not seen before. many of it's interesting features inspired many of George Harrison's songs and a number of his promotional video's were shot in the house and grounds. This book is highly recommended. Well worth buying.

I lived in the Front Lodge for the first 16 years of my life and went to the Convent for my primary education. This book brought back happy memories of a childhood spent roaming round acres of land in all weathers. It was great seeing the photos inside the house and the old pictures of the garden. I would love to have seen pictures of Front Lodge. Looking at it now all the trees and shrubs where we played hide and seek have gone!I would recommend this book to anyone who lives in Henley on Thames or went to school there. I am going to buy more for presents.

Very imformative

The information on this phenomenal country home plus all the photos makes this a great book. I wanted to see what George Harrison did to the property.

Excellent history

Good book. Very informative.Was hoping for a bit more George Harrison related content but it's more about the history of the house and grounds.Period pictures and postcard reproductions.Good nevertheless.

This publication can hardly be considered a book. It is rather a magazine filled with poor quality photographs of which none is of recent origine.I doubt that the authors have ever set one footh in Friar Park. This paperwork is absolutely not worth its price. The Cardinals have dedicated this work to their cats... I rest my case
