Really??
I think this had a great premise but way too many expected interferences. As a brilliant tech guy and investor, Drew was rather easy to manipulate, And they had been best friends since childhood and he never noticed her scar before? Really?? Definitely not one of this authors best. And the dorky epilogue was the worst ever.

Good Read
This book was a nice, clean romance. There were many parts of it I liked, including the cruise and "geeky" nature of it. I loved the happy ending. I've read many of Victorine's books and this is about what I'd expect from her. The only negative thing I really have is that there was no 'wow' factor. To me, it was a typical romance (not necessarily bad). It's just not one I'll remember because there was nothing special about it. But it was a good storyline. Good writing.

Depends upon your point of view...
I did read the entire book, but a few times I wanted to put it down and forget about it. I didn't like the venue of the cruise ship. It was too corny for me and was a bit embarrassing. I'm glad that it had a happy ending, but it felt like it took forever to get there. Since my husband and myself grew up together, went to school together and lived next door to one another, I totally understand the feelings that grow over time. But, the lack of communication between these two was just unbearable for me, because when you are young, you just say everything on your mind, never holding back, because you are just too young to know any better, and as you age, it is already a habit. So, for me personally, it was just a trial, but I finally got to the end, and congratulate myself for finishing my reading project!

Wasn't convinced by either character...
Unfortunately, both the H and the h were too clueless and manipulable to get attached to and made me wonder if (how) they would ever be capable of actually getting together (a new version of TooStupidToLive?). Neither one could see when they were being used or manipulated by others. Also, for 2 best friends (a good premise for a story/relationship and one I usually like in a book) they seemed more able to be up front and honest with other characters than with each other. I'm giving this book 2 stars because the writing was good and that is always a pleasure! I would look at other books by this author - perhaps other H/h pairings will have a little more backbone and their story will be worth reading.

LOVE sweet billionaire book boyfriends!
What could possibly be better than a sweet and foxy billionaire book boyfriend? Going on an island cruise with him! This fun book is the perfect beach (or wishing you were at the beach) read. It's a sweet––without being sappy––romance about lifelong best friends, Drew and recently-jilted Miranda. The author, Victorine, generously shares advice and the secrets to her much-deserved success in author forums. That openness made me curious about her books. I'm so glad I read this one. You likely will be too!

A Satisfying Read
The title is long and matches the novel well. This plot is all about miscommunication and poor timing. You do feel sympathy for the characters as they navigate the mine field of going from best friend to married for life. It's wonderful to be able to relate to characters as you would to people in real life. A few plot twists, some predictable and some unpredicatble, keep the story interesting and plausible. The idea of Star Venture will appeal to those who appreciate pop sci-fi culture.A satisfying read.

Does the nerd-turned-fox get the girl?
I had a hard time putting this book down. Drew's loyalty to Miranda was awe inspiring. Watching Drew overcome his high school fears and seeing Miranda overcome her past added to the book. Their story was filled with love and humor. It also had "are you kidding me!" moments as well. The author does an amazing job of keeping the plot moving. Like I said, I couldn't put the book down until I finished the story. I recommend this book to anyone that loves good, clean romance.

Unfortunately not foxy...
Unfortunately the book and story seemed rather immature in its structure, characters and premise. I really tried to get through more than the first few chapters, but I just could not do it... perhaps, I could not relate to the near obsessiveness of the heroine with the author’s fictitious version of Star Trek? Or maybe (definitely) was how much I abhorred the hero, who probably should be compared to a wet noodle; he allowed himself to be involved with such a clueless, self-concerned, (and really) lousy friend. I don’t need alpha males, but some self-respect in the male lead would go a long way.

Repetitive
An ok story but I lost count of how often she 'whacked him in the chest' which made it boring

🛳 Cruise ship romances aren’t always what they’re cracked up to be...
-‘Drew was always there for her. No matter what, he dropped everything and made time for her. He always had.’-Aww, I loved the friendship between these two! Drew would do anything for Miranda but she never saw him as anything but her best friend. He was like a brother to her. When they don’t communicate clearly with each other and keep secrets, even their eternal friendship starts to fall apart. I really liked the idea that the story takes place on a theme cruise. This was a really fun story. I highly recommend it.
