DK Workbooks: Spelling, Pre-K: Learn and Explore Paperback – January 19, 2015

Wonderful work book for my 3 year old! She has learned so much and sped through the book in 2 days. She loved it! She loves the geography and math workbooks too!

Perfect to kick off our homeschool learning for our four year old. He loves these books

Really great start for young children and introducing them to writing and spelling. My 4-year-old can't get enough. And the gold stars make it even better because my son feels accomplished by earning them. It makes learning quick and fun!

Although labeled as a spelling workbook, DK Workbooks: Spelling, Pre-K focuses more on basic reading skills than spelling. The 60-page workbook includes activities on letters of the alphabet, letter sounds, and rhyming words, among other pre-spelling activities. The workbook contains quite a bit of handwriting practice and letter recognition, both of which are essential skills for later spelling. Like all DK workbooks, the pages are also glossy, of which I am not a fan because regular crayons, markers, and pencils do not work well on the shiny surface.

Omg I love these workbooks, I do 2 pages with my daughter everyday, she is almost done.

Excellent, exactly what I was looking for. Superior quality. Perfect for when the Grandchildren come over. Received it sooner that expect.

Not easy to erase mistakes.

I purchased all of the pre-k level books. So far, I've found that the spelling and language arts books are virtually identical. It's a lot of tracing letters and not much else. Also, unless your child likes to do a lot of tracing of letters I would not recommend buying both the spelling and language arts books. I wish the published would have been more clear on what's included as I now have two virtually identical books and my daughter is bored with tracing letters.
