AmerimaxHome Prod. 85475 Plastic Gutter Guard 6"x36" (Pack of 50)

Poor design
This product is plastic and when you clip the one end on the gutter and then slide the other under the shingles it causes them to bend and depress into the gutter or push up the shingle (neither option is good). Because of that their effectiveness is severely diminished. The design needed to take into account that the gutter edge is straight and the roof is at an angle. I had to remove them because the solution ended up being nearly as bad as the problem it tried to address. They are no longer straight as pictured but cupped and without value.

A good product for the homeowner
I am ordering my second box of these gutter guards. The first went on nicely and locked securely into the gutter's edge. If I can keep the leaves out of my gutters with these things - and it looks like they will - it might keep me from breaking my neck cleaning the gutters. I think this is a smart move for anybody who lives anywhere near a tree.

chincy product
Seems like a good idea, but after a couple of weeks in the Florida sun, these plastic guards soften up and easily pop out of the gutters. No good as they are suppose to fasten with tension between the gutter and the shingles.

easy
easy product to put into place..I will say i have a 3 bedroom ranch and it took 56 pieces.not the 50 the normal size house takes.

Just what the doctor ordered
Stores do not seem to stock black. Was a good deal and great price. Delivery was quick.

More Garbage from Overseas!
I bought and installed these brown gutter guards last spring and by the end of summer 90% of them were warped and coming off the gutters. The package claimed they were UV resistant. That was obviously a blatent lie by the manufacturer! For reference, I live in the St. Louis area. I have a brown roof. Parts of my roof get shade from large trees during different times of the day. Most of the damage ocurred on south facing gutters, but that didn't stop a few of the north facing ones to fail miserably as well... Typical Junk. Maybe the white ones would be ok, but brown absorbs way too much heat.

Does a good job for the money
I have had these in for three years and they work well. I just got a new roof so I had them all out, some of the fine mesh was coming off so a glue gun fixed that. I modified mine by cutting a little notch a one end so I could overlap the ends when in place, this helped them sit better in the gutter with less drooping.
