THERMOSNSF/ANSI Replacement Filters, White

I fell in love with my first Filtered Water Bottle some 5-6 mos ago, I just got my 2nd bottle and added additional filter packs; 2 of 3 new filters were bad. The filtering product inside the container seeped out into my bottle and when I checked it at the sink, running water just gushed the charcoal out. Bad batch? I hope so, or may need buy from another source next round. I have 2 more to use, time will tell.

These filters really do a basic job. I tried 5 different water sources at cities across the country, and every time I taste a good hint of the original flavor (tap, filtered, bottled). Compared to even the bubble brand, which essentially is just a plain carbon filter, this filter design is inferior.

Don't pay attention to reviewers who complain about carbon in their water. They didn't follow the directions. Soak the filter for 1 hr, rinse it, and then it's good to go.

The first filter seemed to work fine, but even though I followed all the same instructions for the replacement filters, the next two filters I tried left black bits at the bottom of the bottle after a short use. Unusable.

I like the idea for the usage of these filters for the Thermos water filtration bottle I had purchased. I soaked it for an hour and it did the trick of providing clear water, no odd taste, and no more teething pain. The only issue that can be improved is to provide some type of indicator on the filter when it needs to be changed.

I normally only leave reviews on products that's wow me, and this is one of those products. We have nasty water at work,tastes and smells very "earthy" in addition to the over powering chlorine smell and taste that's present as well. With this filter /water bottle the water has zero taste and smell , I also feel like it softens the water.If you follow the instructions properly there will be no grit. Seriously, that is a user error. Not the filter of water bottles fault.

No grit on any of the filters I’ve changed; I’m on my 4th one.

So I had to change my review on this product. Even after following the instructions and process for installing new filters, these have left black flakes in my drinking water for WEEKS now.
