Excellent - my cockatiel loves it - gives his feet a rest from clinging onto branches
My feathered friend loves this! Most of the time a bird sits/sleeps etc holding onto it's perch (branches etc), or barred floor of the cage with their toes wrapped around the branch in a fist like gesture. Their feet therefore need a rest, which is achieved when they place their feet on a flat surface. Such flat perches are a must therefore, along with branches and toys to play with. I do of course take my bird out (with ceiling fans off, of course) during the day and it is in the cage only for a very few hours. In the house too, he still flies to and uses the window grill, my laptop monitor, photo/painting frames etc or my finger to sit on, and other then perching on my shoulder or head, or playing on the table top or sometimes walking on the floor (dangerous and you need to keep a constant eye on them to avoid stepping on them and injuring or killing them by mistake) when he gets a flat surface to walk on. But they still need a flat surface in the cage, especially if they are cage bound. This kind of item is very good for cage bound birds especially.Do take care of your birds and handtrain them, take them out during the day for some time (with windows, doors closed and fans off) and supervised time out of the cage (as they can get into all kinds of dangerous situations including when they walk on the floor).(Internet is a good source for how to train your bird and look after them especially when they are outside the cage, fruits and seeds that can be offered to them, kinds of safe wood branches that can be used as perches and so on).
