Booq Mamba Sleeve for MacBook Pro Retina 15-inch - Gray (MSL15-GRY)

This is a nicely made sleeve, and seems perfectly sized for the 15" Retina MacBook Pro. Some people here have complained that it was too small, but that's not my experience at all -- it fits like a glove. A lot of MacBook Pro sleeves that are sold as being Retina-compatible were actually made for the earlier, thicker models (or even for generic 15"-class notebooks, which is even worse).The fabric is attractive and seems pretty rugged, but I took off a star for the $40 price tag, since it does seem a little on the high side for something that is functionally identical to sleeves costing a lot less.

I've owned this case for a year, and up until recently, it's been phenomenal. The fabric is as good as the day I bought it, and it's protected my laptop admirably. Even better, the attention to engineering makes sure that there aren't any pieces in the interior (like an exposed zipper pull) that might accidentally scratch your precious, precious MacBook.However, one of the two zippers jammed shut last week. Though I use my laptop often, I've always been pretty gentle with the case. I was surprised that the zipper would malfunction so quickly! Luckily, Booq's service is amazing. I contacted them and found out that the zippers have a five year warranty, so a new case is in the mail.Just keep that in mind when you buy this!

This case looks cool, but it's just too small for the 15" Macbook Pro Retina. I read other reviews that suggested some fit better than others, so I returned it and got a replacement, but the replacement case was also too small. Like others, I found it difficult to close the zipper without scratching the corners of my Macbook. The piece of foam that comes inside the case is significantly smaller than a 15" Macbook Pro Retina, but that piece of foam seems more appropriately sized for the case. (I uploaded a photo comparing my Macbook to the piece of foam).

Like the feel of the product and it certainly is of high quality. I just wish they would have given the inside space a little more breathing room. The zipper rubs up against the side of the RMBP and it scratches it.

I purchased this sleeve for my 15" Macbook pro with Retina display, and I love it. It fits snugly around the computer, perfect around the hard case I purchased. The zippers are good quality, the inside is lined with a soft velvety material, and the outside is a durable natural fiber. I love the color and the fact that it matches my bag. Love this case! After buying 2 others, this one was a perfect fit, for my 2014 mac book pro. Good padding. Zipper doesnt scratch the metal when closing the computer.

have only had this for a few days, but so far its exactly what i needed and nicer than one i purchased elsewhere before. i have a very thin shell/cover on my macbook and this is pretty tight around the corners. hoping it will stretch with use. wanted to mention this in case you are worried about the zipper scratching your macbook if not using a shell too. material and padding are nice and the sleeve as a whole is sturdy enough.

I felt it was just a bit too snug. There seems to be no middle ground between the spacious non-retina sleeves that are too loose vs retina sleeves that are too snug.
