Works Spectacularly As Designed
Follow the instructions and this works exactly as designed, tacking up even LENRD bass traps with relative ease. In fact, it works well enough that I encountered challenges with the traps sticking in place premature to having positioned them in the final place where I would like them.Applying this spray is extremely easy, the amount and pattern for the spray is adjusted by turning the nozzle and also how deeply the canister spray head is depressed. You can get relatively precise sprays of 2-3 millimeters in this way or high flow sprays up to 7 to 10 centimeters in this way on the reverse side of the acoustic foam. There is some VOC smell from the spray but I have to say that it is FAR lighter and more easily dissipated than the textile adhesive which some competitors to Auratek have shipped me in the past.Overall, I am very happy with my purchase of the Foamtek and for the next stage of my sound dampening will be using this spray rather than messing at all with the tube of caulk-style adhesive.

Seems to do the job.
We've had this installed in a downstairs ceiling for about a year now. The kitchen above has laminate floor and is very loud. These strips install perpendicular to the joists below and the drywall hangs from them. These are Z shaped (or "5" shaped) -- one leg ties up to a joist and one leg receives the drywall screws. The room below the kitchen is noticeably quieter now than the other rooms around it that did not receive the special treatment. They are a little tricky to install if not used to using metal studs -- the screws don't just zip right in like with wood, and they are very flimsy during install. But they do the job once everything is secured. Make sure you place screws where they won't go through the resilient channel and hit a joist above... that will defeat the purpose and cause screwhead pops to boot. Main down-side: we lost about 1/2 inch of ceiling height.

No Other Adhesive Matches Auralex FoamTek for Mounting Acoustic Foam!
I purchased two cans of Auralex FoamTak to mount approximately 86 sq. ft. of acoustic foam panels and bass traps to the interior walls of a voice booth that I'm currently completing. There are lots of other products that claim to be effective for mounting acoustic foam to walls, but NONE of them come close to Auralex FoamTek.First, FoamTek will allow you to remove the acoustic foam from your walls, leaving little residual adhesive — adhesive residue that is easily removed from most surfaces.Second, one can of adhesive, judiciously applied, can be used to mount 50 sq. ft. of acoustic foam.FoamTek costs more than other adhesives, but it's well worth the extra expense.Be sure to go to the Auralex Website to view informative videos on how to properly cut acoustic foam — use an electric carving knife — and how to properly apply the foam to wall surfaces using FoamTe adhesive.(I did not use Auralex brand foam, but instead ordered all my foam direct from a manufacturer in Michigan for a fraction of the cost.)

Great product
My boyfriend had an issue with putting up his sound proofing foams, they kept falling off after just a day so I ordered this hoping it'll work and it is amazing. It's been about a month and they're stuck there. The moment he started applying the foams with the spray he knew they worked well. I'd recommend this for anyone putting up their own sound proofing system in their rooms.

No tip provided to actually dispense the sealant
Out of 12 tubes over 4 total orders/replacement orders, only 3 tubes of the sealant came with a tip. Avoid unless you want to play roulette with receiving a sealant tip or not.

Faulty spray nozzle!
The product it's self is great! Easy to use and sticks really well to foam and plywood. The problem is the spray nozzle. It came out after using only 1/4 of the spray with normal use. I would understand if I dropped it or was rough, but i wasn't. Like I said good product, bad packaging.

Don't go cheap with hardware store 3M adhesive...This is what you want...
I thought I would get away cheap by using the typical 3M spray adhesive from Home Depot, but after a couple of months that adhesive gave out and my tiles were lying on the floor. This Foamtak is a much thicker 'stringy' type of adhesive and the nozzle is adjustable from low to high - medium worked perfect for my Auralex Studiofoam tiles. I'm not sure how this could come out "runny" as one other review noted (bad can/didn't shake up sufficiently?). This comes out like thin silly string and you can be very accurate with it - I had no drips or runs whatsoever. The cheaper 3m stuff comes out like hairspray.

Missing
I ordered these a LONG time before I needed them. I opened the container (big shipping tube) and counted the contents of both tubes - I only counted 20. The label on the tubes say Qty. 24 but then I checked my order: sure enough, I ordered 24. I looked on the tube for information about who fulfilled the order. It came from the manufacturer through Amazon. But, still, I only received 20, per tube; and I ordered two tubes (so 48, but I was shorted, in total, 8 channels. Who can I talk to about the missing 8 channels?

Ideal for acoustic tiles
If sticking foam to walls, though expensive, this works perfectly.Learn from my mistakes and don't waste your money on cheaper products hoping they will work. Tried £4 and £7 spray glue for acoustic tiles before this one.
