SunliteAlloy Single Speed Crankset w/Double Chainguard, 170mm x 44t, Silver/Black

I ordered this and it came without the other crank arm and no hardware. What you see in the picture is all it came with. I then found a SHIMANO M361 Hybrid Crankset for 12 bucks cheaper, was able to convert it to 1 speed (42t) just by removing the two smaller sprockets, moving the large sprocket to the other side and added washers to make up for the thickness of the middle gear. The Shimano looks 100% better, has all the parts and hardware, and the Shimano quality is there. If you need a chainguard for both sides (the Shimano comes with the outside) you are still cheaper than this incomplete Sunlite crankset.

I and bent my right crank last year , my locale bike shop told me that it was a difficult job changing the 1 piece crank to 2 piece cranks. ???, So I decided to do the job myself , So I did a whole lot of research , measuring the parts , and basically eyeballing everything . buying new bottom bracket that goes with the crank set .with some help from reviews on amazon , one in particular , about not removing the BB races and reusing the old ones still in the bike frame , which worked out well and saved me time and a big headache . Well the whole job took about an hour , my biggest setback was I had to buy a 12" adjustable wrench seeing a had a 10'' only , but I'll add before and after pictures and update the performance of the product.

Had to discard inner chain guard as it hit the rear fork. Good craftsmanship, alu color contrasting with black frame.

I have a fat tire ebike that only has the single gear crankset with 40t. My motor can easy do over 24mph. This 44t crank allows me to pedal at rate that matches my motor's ability.

This crank comes with two Guards. I've used this type before and it keeps the chain from going into the frame if it jumps off and keeps pant legs out of the chain as well. Put this on my wife's Cruiser, for worry free riding. I didn't want any complaints, and I haven't gotten any. I found that when the chain did jump on my old bike it just stayed in the 'rings' so it was easy to just bump it back on to the crank. The chain wasn't jammed down in the frame. Less grease on my hands to fix.

I purchased this crank set(s) to update the gear ratio for our Dahon folding bikes and I'm pleased with the quality and value of the item. Not Campy road bike gear, mind you, but very functional and value priced gear.
