Brabantia 122903 Tasty+ Kitchen Scales Plus, Jade Green

I bought these as I liked the idea of not having to replace batteries (and always a random size that you don’t have lying around the house!) but the pay-off is reduced sensitivity. As other reviewers have mentioned, they are slow to update as you add weight, so if you are pouring something, you have to keep pausing to let it catch up. Not ideal if you need precision! I’m sticking with them for now but I imagine I’ll get another set of battery powered scales at some point for when precise measures are needed…

The fresh look and clean lines work perfectly with my kitchen. As someone who likes simple, sustainable things, I love that it looks modern and digital but actually produces its own power with the wind-up dial.ETA: stopped working after only 18 months of occasional, light use. Not worth the money.

The wind up mechanism is a great idea, the main reason why I bought tbh. The scales are incredibly slow and makes the basic operation painful and often inaccurate! We are looking to replace already after less than a month.
