not worth it at all
this arrived ,build is ok and the games play ok but manual is basic and doesn't explain anything ,wifi wont connect up ,got in touch with the manufactures only to be told wifi not there problem they only deal in software even tho its a software issue and not hardware ....i might send this back and get my money back as for that price you would expect it to be at least working properly

No sound or WiFi on my unit
Got mine delivered yesterday (8 November 2019). First impressions. Build quality is good. However, no sound output through HDMI and not capable of connecting to WiFi. Instructions are very basic so I have contacted their support team via email.

Very Nearly Not Good
I was put off buying this for a while because of reports of problems with the wi-fi not connecting and no sound. After a few months I decided to get one at last hoping they would have sorted out any problems, and also the price had gone down by £20.Thankfully, after turning the console on I was greeted with wondrous, magical sound, so there was one worry alleviated. I then went into the menu (after working out you need to hold diagonal up-right on the 1 Player stick, something not shown in the manual) and entered my wi-fi password. Lo and behold it connected straight away. It does seem to lose connection now and then, despite my internet service and wi-fi signal being very good. As you won't be using the wi-fi very much this isn't really a big issue.Once I was assured the two big problems the unit may have had were not an issue on my device, I played a couple of games. The sticks and buttons are great and the emulation good. I was very pleased. However, I then went back into the menu and saw an option to check the controller inputs. This just shows that all the buttons and sticks are working when you press/move them. To my dismay the 2 Player stick was not working. I tried a factory reset, turning the unit off and on again (I'm a pro) and also, to my shame, thumping the top of the console, all to no avail.Despite not being tech savvy in any way, I decided to try and check the internals. After removing ten screws, which is pretty much the extent of my skills, I took off the bottom of the console and saw straight away that the wire from the board to the second stick was not connected. I plugged this in and it worked!I FIXED SOMETHING!Of course, this is something that I should not have had to do. Maybe it just wasn't plugged in at assembly, maybe the wire came loose during transport. It was an easy fix, thankfully, but I expect most people would have just sent the console back for a replacement or refund. For such an expensive item, it should arrive with all components in the correct places. Some assembly NOT required. All in all, the console is quite good. I haven't played all the games yet, but the ones I have tried ran well (I got one crash on Gigawing when selecting my pilot, but that's the only one so far). It took half a dozen attempts for the unit to find and download the newest update, plus it took quite a few tries to load up the online high scores table. It seems to be hit and miss for this to actually work. So, it's expensive, but well made (if you get a fully assembled unit), and the software is not amazing. If you manage to get one that has no wi-fi or sound problems, and that has all the wires plugged in, you'll probably be pleased with it. It just seems to be a bit of a lottery whether you will. It can apparently have some big problems, and does have some smaller ones. It is very nearly not good. But not quite.

A bit too expensive but a wonderful piece of kit nonethelessxcellent build quality!
Initially, I was hesitant to pay £200 for this as it only comes with 16 games. However, after having spent some time with it, it's really a wonderful piece of kit. The emulation is spot on and the arcade stick and buttons offer excellent feedback. The only reason why this wasn't rated 5 stars was due to the expensive price.

Issues with wifi initially and then 6 weeks later a dead unit
Upon receiving the unit it worked but would not connect to wifi. After trawling the internet I found there was an issue with the unit recognising SSIDs with uppercase letters or numbers in them. After setting a guest SSID in lower case I finally managed to connect the unit to wifi and update from software version 1.0 to 1.4. The unit played quite well but the online highscore table never worked but that was not a major issue for me. However I came to switch on the unit one day and was greeted by a black 1080p output on the TV. I tried everything I could think of to get up and running again, different TVs, cables etc but still no picture. Such a shame as I thought the idea was great, games were a little on the low side considering how many great titles Capcom released over the years, but I appreciate this was down to licencing etc.

Not worth it.
Hardware is very well made. But I could not connect to the WiFi with my one, and others have had the same problem. I don't trust the software on this thing. The menu is very laggy and the sound is not synced right a lot of the time. It should be better at this price, so I decided to return it for a refund.

Great Design And High Quality Arcade Hardware
Personally I think the design of this is amazing. Its bold and brave and it works for me. The hardware is near perfect with arcade-quality Sanwa sticks and arcade quality buttons. The software isn't 100% prefect yet (the music drops out every now and again) but there is a new update due very soon that will fix this along with some other minor issues. The new update will also add a scanline option which is the main thing I thought was previously lacking. I love the online highscore table. It's like being back in the old arcade days! Really glad I have this to play on over Xmas.

Not worth the money
The emulation is fine, but the display settings leave something to be desired. No matter what setting you choose an element of the original view is lost, be it cropping out your score or health metre (depending on the game) or completle zooming in on one quarter of the game, making it literally unplayable. It is so disappointing to find that a piece of licenced hardware is so fundamentally flawed. The SNES classic and mini Mega drive are much better quality for a fraction of the price.Had to return for a refund and will not be looking to buy an item from Koch Media in the future if this product is anything to go by.
