Classic Spring Collars. Good buy.
Well made. Good tension. Does the job. Familiar, functional, and low-cost for when they inevitably wear out (and they will, it's normal). Some reviews mention it's hard to squeeze: not really. If your hands are small, you won't be doing it one handed. If your grip is weak, you won't be doing it one handed. Yes, you have to keep it squeezed while you work it along the sleeve. That's kind of the point. This product needs to have good tension on it in order to actually secure the weight plates. If you have arthritis or the like, oh, absolutely -- go get a lockjaw style collar, as this will be horrible for you. For everyone else? Consider it exercise for your grip-strength :)CAP's a well known and pretty solid brand and they deliver much the same. Can't go wrong with these classic spring collars.

Picture Doesn't Do Them Justice!
I can't believe these are only $5. Unreal. I feel like I'm robbing Cap considering the price and quality of these springs. Not only did the OB-86B exceed my expectations, these have as well. Nice work Cap, thanks for making great quality products for the people on budgets these days! I was expecting some cheap, loose springs that "barely did the job" for the time being until I got something better but these are incredible! They are huge lol and quite beefy! The handles on them are quite nice. They are rubber but feel like they are on there well and seems like they won't come off for a long time if you take care of them. The spring it's self is quite strong and that is a GOOD thing! They match up perfect to the sleeves on the 86B and you literally have to squeeze them with the handles touching to get it to slide on freely without touching the sleeves. Which again is great because that means it won't stretch out any time soon and will hold it's place very well. Make sure the plate or plates are flush, slide these on and they will not go anywhere. I only plan to do powerlifting for now but for those that do oly lifts or crossfit, I'm sure these will hold your plates in place very well when the bar is dropped. Especially with bumper plates.Good stuff Cap! Thanks!

They STICK out!
This spring clips do lock on to the bar but man are they hard to remove AND put on the bar these things are solid but for a couple extra dollars I would recommend getting ABS locking collars instead they are a lot better in removing and putting on than spring collars. Im on a budget but damn are these things hard to put on by the time I put them on my grip is already a bit tired and then starting my workout is like ugh. Get these if you dont get a grip workout at all because you will with these. Another thing is that they stick out quite a lot if you are using weights from like 2.5-10 lb plates because they ends that you press on (the black parts) stick out from the weights because of how long they are I saw some reviews saying they were hard to put on but I didnt pay much attention to them saying that maybe they were exaggerating no they were not!

Good grip
These clips grip my olympic dumbbell collars well. You can set a dumbbell on end and a 20lb plate won't slide off. I'm sure it could handle even more weight. They aren't as strong as a threaded clamp, but are a whole lot more convenient to use, and keep my plates fairly secure. They fit my bars like a glove, but bars seem to have slightly different diameters, so your fit may vary. Cheap enough to give them a try.Note that they come in pairs...Recommended

Great product, and made in Taiwan
These are quality barbell clamps, and priced low. They’re also made in Taiwan which is why I chose to purchase them. Taiwan made products will typically be superior to competing Products especially those made in a place to the west of the island, not worth mentioning. Buying a product made in Taiwan supports a free independent Democratic nation that is an ally of the United States. So I am happy with my purchase because how I spend my dollars matters, as they are votes for what I value.

Delivered quickly. Well packed. After reading many other reviews, for the price, l figured, what the heck give it a try !! Maybe not such a good idea. As far as stiffness and hard to put on and take off ?? Come on man ! I have very regular smallish man hands and you might have to use two but you want it to squeeze tight right ?? Not really a big deal.As far as fitting , well , it fits my no name 2" curl bar just right ! Nice and tight l loaded 100 lbs of bumper plates moved the bar from side to side . The clamps have excellent holding capability. If it fits your barbell ?? Sad to say, the many reviewers who complained that the clamps were too fat or too tight appear to be correct. These clamps do not fit the bar I bought them primarily for. That would be my hex- trap bar. I think in my case it might be the bars fault. The reason l purchased these clamps is precisely because the other set l purchased barely held the 150 lbs of bumber plates on. That would be the plastic snap-lock style. They would slide around aa much as 1" per set, depending on the load. That was bad , these are worse . They do not come close to fitting ?? I can slide the clamp through the bar without even touching the bar...at all. !!!Anyway it's up too you if you want to take the risk for 7 bucks?? If they fit your gonna be happy with them. If not, well you'll be cranky . Maybe later l will add pics?? Hope this helps ??
