Bought this to quickly install trailer lights on a 2007 GMC Acadia. The install is relatively easy and straightforward. Hardest part is probably just fishing the wires down the sides of the vehicle to ensure they're out of the way but honestly it's just basic cable pulling. Use a coat hanger or a piece of wire helps a lot.Very economical vs installing a full electrical trailer kit if you only need the 4 flat connector like I did.

Oddly enough, you purchase a GMC with a trailer hitch and plug-in for a trailer, then come to find out that GMC does not install the fuse box that actually connects the plug-in to anything. I was furious! Then I found this product. If you need to provide wiring for trailer lights and don't look forward to cutting into the wiring of your car, this harness is perfect. It does not require any cutting, but rather plugs in between the existing plug and plug in of each tail light lighting assembly (think of it like those Christmas light plugs that plug into each other and "stack.") This product solves the problem in a very neat way. While I never plan on removing it (even if I sell the vehicle), it could actually be completely removed and the wiring for the vehicle returned to pristine condition since you don't need to cut into any existing wires on the car. Thank you for saving my sanity!

Wires are just the right length so that there is not too much slack under the Acadia. A commenter says the wire ties are too short. That is true; however, I put two together, and I only needed to tie up in 3 places under the car. 2x3=6. I used my hitch bars as the tying points.Other commenters are right about one thing. It is very difficult to fish the wire up into the taillight wells. I used a fish tape and it still took a long time. But this product is designed perfectly / seems to work well.

Easy to install work perfectly

So first off, I was a bit put off by the price, but in lieu of a professional install it was extremely in expensive. The most difficult part was fishing the wire between the point where the rear signal light is and the bottom of the vehicle. Also, the zip ties were useless as there were just too small/short. I ended up using my own, after which everthing fit snugly. I confirmed the procedure was correct, but i would recommend checking out their Youtube video for performing the installation. It took about 20-30 minutes to complete and confirm functionality.

I have a 2009 GMC Acadia. and I have bought other T harnesses before but none of them seem to work. this setup is super easy and all I needed was a 7 millimeter wrench and a flat screwdriver within 45 minutes I had the trailer lights installed the directions we're a little bit hard to read but after youtubing it it was super easy to install! I would highly recommend the set up as long as you are not using electric brakes. the local dealership wanted 250 dollars and I picked this up for less than thirty dollars and 45 minutes of my time. highly highly highly recommend this product

Installed this harness on my 2012 Acadia. Very simple installation, as per instructions. Rented a U-Haul trailer and the lights worked perfectly. Very happy!
