Korean Reader for Chinese Characters
Korean Reader for Chinese Characters (Klear Textbooks in Korean Language) I feel this is an excellent book for studying Hanja. Not only does it include the radicals and show stroke order for each character, but chapters begin with reading selections that incorporate the Hanja vocabulary that is learned. Starting off with basics, and proceeding to more difficult characters and increasingly higher level text selections. Activities are included for memorizing meanings of each character, however you must provide your own space for repetitive practices of writing each character.

Fun and effective
This was recommended to me by a professor of Korean Language, who suggested it for those students of Korean who speak well and are familiar with hangul, and are ready to try out Korean-Chinese characters. So far, very good! As the prof said, it is intended for use by English speaking students of Korean who wish to learn the 500 most commonly used Chinese characters in Korean literature. Introduces, forces repetative use, and is really rather quite fun!

Highly recommended!
I absolutely love the book. It's so useful and user-friendly. It's written in Korean, English, and Chinese so it's very useful for Korean American readers who want to learn Chinese characters. In the appendix, it teaches you the order of the strokes for each character which is extremely convenient.

Great!
This is a really good book although right now a bit beyond my level. however, it is very good in explaining the different characters used in Korea. I look forward to getting to the level where I can really benefit from it.

Contextual use of characters much needed, and this provides
I think if paired with previous or current Korean coursework this is very useful. The contextual aspect is NECESSARY. Any faults aside, you must by this for the contextual aspect that can't be found in apps etc.

Great for introducing Hanja to intermediate level or above
This book as 40 chapters which each introduce about 12 characters. Each chapter starts with a shortish passage which uses those hanja and hanja used in previous lessons. After that comes a list of the characters with their meaning, radical etc. And then there are lists of words that contain those hanja. Then there are a lot of drilling type exercises to drive the hanja into your head, and some writing practices too.Overall the book covers about 500 characters. The characters chosen are mostly very useful (they leave out a lot of the '9th of the 10 Heavenly Stems' sort of thing). The passages are at a comfortable intermediate level, and english translations of the whole passage are given at the back of the book. The passages are interesting enough to be enjoyable reading. As the Korean is quite simple, you can focus on learning the hanja, and often work out the word meaning from the context.Stroke order is given for the first 20 chapters, after that you shold get the hang of how these work.Overall, I strongly recommend this as a fun and efficient way to learn useful hanja. I would recommend for enthusiastic lower intermediate level upwards.
