Q: Why do many of the reviews talk about "stakes"? Even the photo shows stakes. These are poles correct????

The reviews talk about stakes because the seller of this item is trying to 'game the system' by having good reviews for a product (the stakes) and then replacing all product details with a new, likely lower quality, product such as the poles

Q: How long is each guy line (rope)?

There are no guy line ropes provided with the poles You have to create your own lines. The poles are easily adjustable and very sturdy. The are self nesting making packing neat in a small bag.

Q: How much weight can these support?

I am not the vendor, the product description says they support light weight like tarps and canopy's. I've used them to make and support an awning when camping!
