After reading about this winter coat and all the great reviews I ordered it for my chihuahua. Yes, I measured him according to the chart. Received the coat today and it was way too big. It fit on my French Bulldog! To make matters worse the description says 100% cotton, machine washable. On the tag it says 100% polyester hand wash only. I am sending it back tomorrow. Sure would have liked to received a coat like it should have been.

This cute little jacket is great because I don't have to guide my dog's paws into the arm holes like was necessary with his old sweater. This jacket opens up to be a flat piece of fleecy fabric. I just put the fabric on my dog's back and then the front two straps velcro around his neck like a collar, and the middle two straps wrap under from each side and velcro across his tummy. The design is fine for my male dog when he goes poddy. The tummy strap is forward enough to not be in the way at all. I call this a jacket, but it is as comfortable as a bathrobe. My dog likes to wear it because it keeps him warm. He wears it in the house and outside. This jacket would soak up rain water, so I also bought my dog a waterproof rain jacket so he could go out in the rain. The rain jacket is too stiff and plastic/rubbery to wear for long inside. This fleecy jacket is made for SMALL dogs, so the large sizes are still for dogs about 25 pounds max. I'm very happy with this doggy coat.

This coat is absolutely wonderful. I received in on time and it was very well packaged. Good quality, my little guy looks very sharp in this coat. He's a Bichon (18 lbs, chubby little guy) and an XL fits him just right!

I really liked the winter coat for my chihuahua. It fits nicely and seems very warm. She wears this to go running with the big dogs on our farm. It has been cold lately and she wears it and is not shivering as when she did not wear it. I may add a picture later. She looks very cute in it. Be sure to measure as it tells you and you will be pleased.

This coat is WONDERFUL!!!! It's soft, warm, comfy for the dog, and very easy to put on and take off. It's also well-made and beautiful - looks and feels like ultra-suede. My dog is a tiny, 3-1/2 pound poodle mix. The Small Dog Winter Coat is a little big for her, but this is what I wanted. She's 8 years old and frail. Shivers terribly outside on cold mornings or nights. When the temperature is in the 20's or low 30's, I put a sweater on her first, then a lightweight coat, then the Rypet coat over that - and she's warm and comfortable. The coat by itself is all she needs if it's 40 degrees out. Younger, stronger dogs would probably be fine wearing this coat by itself for temperatures in the 20's and 30's. I love it for her, she loves it, and I highly recommend it.

This coat is not nearly as nice as the photo shows. I guess you get what you pay for. The material is poor quality. In places, you can see the backing of the fleece. It is crooked: my dog looks lopsided in it! The collar is way too large for the coat. It looks like it would be perfect for winter: it is NOT! My dog has gone back to wearing her old, worn coat for warmth on our cold New England winter days. I would return it, but I really didn't want to go to the bother. Folks, save your money; don't buy this coat! Spend a little more and get a coat of better quality.

So pleased with this product. It fits my small puppy wonderfully and is easy to strap him in it! The item came as quickly as the seller said it would and I will happily buy from them again! The coat has a quality feel and even has a small hole under the collar so that the leash can be pulled through!

My dog hated her old coat and we both found it annoying to put on. This is so easy to put on I’m using it as a pattern to make her a sweater. And she likes it, which is good since she’s the sort of dog that has to have a coat. She even likes to wear it indoors. Admittedly, you can’t just throw it in the way, otherwise I’d give it five stars. However, it is sturdy as well made, so that’s a big plus.

This is cheaply made, not worth the money. Very poor quality.
